If the rumors are true and Yamaha stops building sleds soon, then there's no way they will come out with anything to outdoo the competitions sleds. Frankly with already being behind, if they are going to give up on sleds then we've all seen the best they got. I don't ever want to see them give up but kinda get the feeling it may be true.. sucks

Yamaha has plenty of money to keep it going for awhile yet. No other Oem comes close to Yam quality. Many more 2s converts coming over to 4s at least they say so on other websites after many 2s burndowns over this cold weekend. Everytime a 2s burns down it is hello Yamaha. Yamaha ready to harvest discouraged 2s owners ...I know that is what brought me here & I'm never going back to 2s.

Your theories would be great arguments EXCEPT Yamaha is not the only 4stroke choice. So just because people want a 4stroke does not mean they will buy Yamaha. Skidoo will have just as many 4stroke motors as Yamaha within the next season, and already has two that people love, in fact it seems more and more leave blue for yellow with the 1200 doos got. And both the other two have some choices in the 4stroke motor category. This isn't 2003 anymore.
And as for Yamaha having money to keep sleds going, no kidding they have the money but that doesn't mean they want to keep building sleds either.

Thank goodness not 2003 anymore.lol RX1Ton rocked the world but 2006 Apex set the 4s bar. Poo 4s sleds forget it. AC better but incomplete line up. No other OEM has the proven 4s trail miles that Yam has. Sure will be more 4s models from other Oems but Yam line up by far the most complete & still the best in the biz. Seems like could be a lot of new 4s new sleds coming in 2012 so time to judge coming soon but doo current offerings better than in the past years but not comparable to Yam yet.

Lop on cylinder off the FJ1300 and you have the 3 cylinder planform. The fx nytro has all the lightweight engine parts I believe.

The super tenere twin while having an internal oil tank is dry sump.

Like I mentioned before I think with the depature of the bravo 250 from yamahas line up you will see a new sled in the 300 range.... To compete with the tundra, and replace the bravo ( they can never replace expicness) On a off chance maybe a beefed up pz50mp to kinda step into the vk540 void......... But I still think yamaha is in the forfront of 4stroke tech..... And I know they have something unreal up their sleeves to release in the next few years :yam:

you should read sled talk. It sounds interesting. He mentioned that the 2012 will be released on your next sled.com first. ifind interesting beacouse that site was developed to showcase new models. So it sounds like there could be something new coming.

It would be nice if they built a 120 series and one with a factory turbo. That would really give them a complete line up. And they will keep refining the models they have. I would love to see a new SRX line with the turbo something based off a Apex style.

Vecter XTX with power steering is on my wish list.
Yamaha is trying to be all about reliability so I don't see a turbo or a 2 stroke at this time.
I'm thinking we will be disapointed as it takes 5 plus years to address little things like hand warmers, exhaust donuts, etc.

I noticed that too. "explained to the dealers" sounds good. Exup, eps, throttle chip control don't have to be explained. If its not a new model currently missing from the line-up, then I'm going out on a limb and say its a new drive system. Goodbye chaincase, hello simple, efficient, less weight. Been hearing rumors of this one for a while, it might be time. :yam:

exactly, if you read between the lines there seems to be some hints on the 2012 lineup.

Please Please! Nytro XTX SE with the rear Air suspension and Fox float 2 up front
