if they come out with this design, that is true innovation, can you imagine how easy corners could be taken,i want one,but the patent is from 2010,maybe its for a cpl years down the road :yam: :yam:

Very true, and possible dismiss the myths of yamaha trying to get out of the sled business...

Oh yes... This means that we will see Yamaha making a machine that will lean inwards when cornering, but also is possible to stop tilting.

Ah,what will they use for bushings in such a complex frontend (LOL)!

Hope it's not plastic........... :jump:

How wouldnthat work with EPS? Would you want it? What if they have no intention of building it's just a patent they have no intention of using until it's "necessary".

So ... did the borrow an idea from a road grader or a farm tractor - both of these allow for the front end to pivot don't they?

My next new sled with probably be a 2013. Really hoping Yamaha comes out with something a touch lighter and better handling out of the box by then. See how it goes. It took me two winters to get my wifes Vector to handle like it should. Working on my Nytro now.

Actually I have a uncle that built a 3 wheeled bicycle ( two wheels in the front one in the back) and it has a pivoting suspension, works really slick. There has been a lot of people interested in the design, but he has been in the process of patient it. His design could easily work on a snowmobile just a matter of finding out how tough it would have to be built.

whats wrong, still pulling the bark out? :tg:

There is only about 10 posts a day over there about how to tighten y pipes or change nuns. They all get board and then come over here and fix everything. lol No offence to the d00 squak people as they all stalk from all the other forums as well.... I think the A chat has about 10 post a week.

I was checking through US Patents last night and saw a yamaha power steering patent on a fx chassis (nytro) style snowmobile. The apex power steering patent was separate.
