2013 Rumor...let's hope it's true

If (and I emphasize IF) they decide to put it on a 2013 sled, they could possibly release it only on a Spring Edition model ... like the FX NYTRO RTX SE. Remember the 2009 model? - the spring edition model was the only short track Nytro to have the new tunnel design. The normal Nytro models had the deep 2008 tunnel design.

This seemed to be the norm a few years back for all the manufacturers (Doo seems to still do it today). Release the really cool item on a spring edition model, then expand it to other models the following year.

Well we will soon see on March 2nd. If they do put a new front end on the Nytro I would put money that it would be the RTXSE for 2013 and on the rest for 2014.

It has already been declared in Chris Rieds' Yamablog, that the new front end for the nytro will not be released for 2013. We can give up for anything from Yamaha this year and focus on what you need or want for your current sled and upgrade there, as Yamaha will not impress anyone this March. Prepare for your let down now, if you can accept this. Cheers, Scott

Even the car manufacturers are pushing to lose 100 pounds structurally. That's is without decontenting much of what we've gotten used to. Autoweek has an article about the new, year 2025, fuel mileage avg goal of 50 plus miles per gallon. RR

I will never understand why you guys do this to yourselves....
Exactly...! There is no need to start a hype from the dream that your brothers sisters cousins neighbours dog had last night. The marketing people at Yamaha are more than qualified to start the hypes themselves...

40 lbs off from a FX Nytro front end...???
They will offer it without engine, or what...?

I have been told there is no "new" front end. There is a "racing" front end. Maybe some day the 2 shall come together.

Backtrack to 1996, everyone was tired of the V max TSS front suspension, crappy ride and handling, no hope in sight........ BAMM!! SX trailing arm chassis arrives and blows the competition into the rubarb with new cutting edge chassis and 3 cyl. motor. Just wonder if Yamaha is capable of pulling this off again??

12 to 14 lb weight loss is what my neighbor's, brother's, cousin's, daughter told me.

That's almost "Your fathers, neighbors, uncles, cousins, former roomate."
OMG! The 2013 Yamaha's have gone to plaid!
