So we all thought the Viper was unique, just looking at the cat release and see basically everything yamaha "changed" to create the viper is on the new cats. Only thing I'm not sure of yet is I they have yamaha clutches on the Nytro motor. But they have the new gauge, looks like the new seat, and of course the same chassie options. Viper still may be a great sled but now you can get and orange and green.

Yeah, there's 8 new Yamahas on the 2014 Cat lineup page!

Looks like they are using their own clutch

Yep specs say Arctic clutches. Personally I'd much rather have the Viper with quality Yamaha clutches over AC's Chinese clutches.

I wonder if the specs on the website are just an oversight for now?

$200 for Yamaha clutches seems worth it...My sled will be Blue.

Looks like cat has a few new motors and few older motors with new names

5000 ctec4 (125hp) - looks like cats old suzuki 1100 twin NA
6000 ctec2 (125hp) - looks like a New 600 2stroke
7000 ctec4 (135hp) - A new 1049cc triple that puts out 135hp, Hmmmm same stats as the nytro
8000 - old 800
9000 - old 1100 T

For one more year. By 2015 most of the 1100T's will be gone and most of the other Suzuki built engines.

Personally, I'd rather have Yamaha clutches on a Yamaha chassis.

It's $600 more here in Canada for the Viper XTX SE over the XF 7000 Cross Country Sno Pro...so fair :moon:

My bad looks like the Cats are a little more...also say Fox Float 3 not 2?

I was looking at the RTX SE Vs. SnoPro standard $50.00 difference US.
