will the rear shock off a 2016 153 sr viper mtx
fit on a 2014 sr viper xtx 141
want to change fox float 2 to a coil over shock on the rear shock on the skid
read on here some place that the 141 153 162 are the same
just that the rails are longer

i was looking around at some specs
its tuff to get a straight answer , this is what i found so far
2016 mtx 153 srv10m2 is the one and only sled i could find with coil over rear shock
will it fit a 2014 xtx cant find a simple answer
shock 8LM-G7480-00
spring 8KG-G7489-00
sold seperately much cheaper than other shocks

All the REAR shocks on 141-153-162 are the same length, the Center one does differ between years/lengths though. Buddies 15' MTX came with a coil over all around, his is the Black non-SE 153.

We just put a MTX rear shock on my buddies 2014 XTX. Put 450 miles on it last weekend in the UP. After a slight break in period , he said it rode great.

Both the 137 and 141 get the XF name on cats, which gets confusing when cross referencing since it’s 2 different skids. That chart above lists shock length for the XF 137 (Viper LTX). I bought a used Evol r out of a Cat 153 to try out and it’s the same length as the Float 2 in my XTX.

what is the difference in these REAR shocks
2014 xtx shock 8jr-g7480-00
2015 xtx shock 8jr-g7480-10
2016 xtx shock 8jr-g7480-20
2015 mtx-se 153 and 162 shock 8jr-g7480-10 both same
2016 mtx-se 141 153 and 162 8jr-g7480-20 all three same
2016 xtx se shock 8jr-g7480-20-00
2014 is 00 at the end of part number
2015 is 10 at the end of part number
2016 is 20 at the end of part number
are the shocks actually different or just different last numbers for different years
