So I bought this used 2014 xtx stretched to 162. I was taking apart the rear skid to powder coat the arms and noticed a small crack where the scratcher goes. Do you think this is repairable? Thought maybe a quick buzz with the tig. It’s not all the way through to the hole.

Maybe weld and install a brace....I see a few companies make them. So this is a 14 xtx they long tracked...the guy figured they changed the rails used the xtx arms. Is there anyway to tell if they are cat or Yamaha rails? Yamaha suppose to be taller in the front?
just trying to figure this sled out in case I need to order parts.

Trying to see what the best direction is going forward. I found a set of 15 viper mtx rails and 18 sidewinder mtx. Would the arms and shocks all be the same length in my 14 xtx? I’ve been reading that maybe the Center shock is shorter in mine?
These pictures are from my 17 sidewinder mtx and this viper 14 xtx. The tunnel mounts are the same by looking. Rear arm is the same , I believe the front arm is the same. Just the rail is taller. Rear shock same 16” ctc. Front Shock ctc I’m not sure.

@cannondale27 might be able to help us out on this. I think this will work from a Winder.
Center is longer on 18 MTX 36 and 38 has shorter ski shocks than xtx xtx shocks can be shortened to 38 but not 36” arms.@cannondale27 might be able to help us out on this. I think this will work from a Winder.

Thanks. Yeah I have the 36” on the front. Just trying to get replacement rails for my 14xtx. It’s already a 162 with cat rails.
So I can bolt the sidewinder mtx rails on and the only difference is the rear suspension Center shock?

Would the 15 mtx rails also have a longer Center shock compared to my xtx?
No I believe 16 is when they made the change.
