2014

I hate to say it but whatever yamaha has up their sleeve it better be great because bombardier is watching. Right now, I think ski-doo is working fast to counter yamaha with a new turbo fourstroke sled (not the 1200). Will ski-doo get their clutching straightened out before yamaha can drop their new iron? As a yamaha loyalist, I hope not.
Yamaha needs a homerun to gain market share;ski-doo just needs something to stir the hype.

Looks like Chris is saying the crowd from over in Japan is coming to Canada next week and they are going "riding" the week after. That means you don't have to much time to book your flight! Don't forget your camera! Maybe you can get some spy shots of your own
No i can wait :jump: ,if i had booked me a plane ticket over there i wouldnt sitt down and wait for a possible Ufo to turn up.. I would rent a Mcx Nytro turbo and ride 36 ours a day in yours beutiful mountains and snow ;)!

This is true. However I am about 6 hrs from a real mountain and about an 2 hrs from any decent snow!

I think we are all building up next year's lineup way too much...so much that we will all be disappointed when the time comes. No way will Yamaha come close to what Arctic Cat did a couple of years ago with a whole new fleet of sleds. Granted, the AC sleds suffered from several quality issues, but when they were released, it was a huge release and everyone wanted one.

My guess is that Yamaha will release a couple of new sleds in the lighter SR chassis, the Venom and Viper. One will have the Phazer engine, the other will have the Nytro/Vector engine, or a new 100 hp one. The Nytro may get a revamped front suspension, much like the race version. The Vector may or may not Be discontinued, depending on which engine will end up in the SR chassis. The Apex, Venture and VK will basically remain the same.

Come on Grimm you are such a downer....lol....lol....
I would like to see something but you are more than likely right...

Any one going to Pre order a 2014 Yamaha? Curiosity is getting the best of me. I'm thinking about it.

After riding my 2011 Apex and cursing in my helmet "why why why did I sell my nytro". My answer if it's an all new nytro I'll be on a 2014

You seem to really like the Nytro I heard they get terrible gas mileage but I am interested in the ridding position. Why ( specifically ) do you like it over the Apex? ( I'll buy your Apex! )

Skidoo is a more powerful force then most realize. All at once they may release a full line of 4 strokes that make yamaha look ancient and 2 stroke that don't fail. They just know how to play the dance of profit/advancment/cost of development
Yamaha has the lead in four strokes so hopefully alll this time they've been working to keep that lead and don't fall short

Yes Skud could release an all new line up at any time. But like the rest of their 2 smokes they will be a problem after 2000 miles and eat the oil at an 80:1 ratio.
The best part of yamaha is the research and development. They don't put out sub par machines and let the public figure out whats wrong. No, they are not perfect chassis but engines are bullet proof. Hopefully they are taking notes and they don't let us down.

I find this post interesting. I heard a similar rumor today from a guy that supposedly works the assembly line for BRP. He said that they are working on a turbo for next year. If they put a turbo 4 stroke in a XM chasis I am snow-checking one. I love my Nytro but a factory turbo with the reliability of Ski-Doo.
