Girlfriend was complaining about major darting on her sled yesterday. I said, you’ll get used to it. She could barely keep, so I got thinking maybe she is right. So I hopped on it and I must say it was brutal! Same procross skis as my ltx dx. 6” carbides, limiter strap on middle hole now (was on lossest setting), rear torsions were on middle setting and now on lightest setting, fox qs3 shocks all set on softest setting. My sled has no darting whatsoever and is effortless to drive. I’m swapping my dual 6” carbides on to her skis this morning and I’ll take the singles and see if it makes any difference.

Any thoughts on what the problem could be? She said the tuners were way better. Trails are flat and hard right now. Again, my sled is setup perfect and she doesn’t want to give it back! Lol

what skis are on the sled? Limiter strap sounds like it should be loosened to one hole below stock and try tightening the spring on your front skid shock. the dual carbides will help as well. this should help get some weight off the skis and help her out.

First thing you need to do is check the toe in. It's where everything starts.

So, they’re procross cat skis on both vipers. I run dual carbides on mine. Hers had the AC single carbides, which are junk btw. I switch my skis over to her sled and I used hers as a test to see if maybe it was just the carbides. Sure enough, now hers is amazing and mine darts all over!! So now I need to go buy another set of dual carbides. The limiter straps are on the middle hole as there is only 3 holes. Toe in is fine, just like my sled.

Bought my XF7000 last year. First ride was darting all over. Took it to the dealer they said take off the new single carbides and install dual. I was pretty sceptical but did it anyways. Sure glad I did it because now it handles awesome.

Are you all running the cat dual staggered carbide?

get a set of snow trackers will go dead straight..... assuming that skis have correct toe out

Snow trackers have to be set with 0 toe out, skis should be parallel to each other.
Best investment I have done to my sled by far..

I have slim Jim 6” duals. There’s no darting at all. I can ride with one hand over 100km/hr...it’s like driving a car. It’s definitely a struggle with the single 6” carbides, they should be illegal!

Why would you run the dulley's on your sled and singles on your girlfriends sled. If she is not having fun while on the machine she will lose interest in a hurry. If she likes the tuners put them back on. What works for you may not work for her, if you leave the cat ski on put a set of the staggered cat carbide on, put the limter back to the std pos, rear springs on the softest setting. What is the pre load on your front and center shock springs.

Did you read anything above?! Lol

I Swapped my skis onto her sled (with the dual carbides) as a test to see if it was in fact the carbides, and it was. The dual carbides worked on her sled just like they do on my sled. So I ended up riding with the singles on the second day. Trust me, I hear what your saying about keeping her happy!

She likes limiter on middle hole, torsion springs are on softest setting.
Qs3s are on softest setting all around.
Not sure about preload on springs though, I would assume they’re still factory set.

I read everything, what i ment was you never should have started her out on a singal carbide especially 6 inch. Why do you have the dulley's on yours, because it darts around like crazy without them. These rider foward sleds have a lot of ski pressure and it is hard to get a single carbide to work with out the darting. Some people are more worried about turning and live with the darting. I just adjust the way I drive when the conditions change i can't stand it when the machine im driving is all over the trail.
