Just purchased 2016 Viper xtx se, it only has 143 miles on it, it's been sitting for over a year, I have all panels off in front to do TLC on it. Everything works, I have air box off and have made cut out also cleaned up sled ! One problem mice were just starting to get in there, small nest near nose, like I said Everything WORKS and no nibbles on hoses or wires ! They enjoyed the black felt NOT THE FOAM under felt on the can side. Does anybody know where I can by this TYPE of felt ? To me that felt seems to help with sound deadening but most importantly protection from Can to panel ! Yamaha parts list call it damper . It seems they only sell foam and felt as one pc, I would then have to remove foam / felt from panel, that I'm sure is no picnic ! This felt / heat protection is about a lite 1/4 inch thick. I have about 5 pcs affected on can side so to avoid the monies the time and effort, I'd like to see if anyone knows where I can buy this type of felt in like a 2 ft x 2 ft sheet. Or any other way you guys might suggest to treat foam on can side without removing foam? Felt just peels off hoping to just glue new felt on! I gonna at least try before I buy 5 damper pcs. THANKS Guys.
I have never seen it sold separately.

I have found a felt site, maybe on to the correct path , anybody else have this kind of issue with Mice ?
Yes. The buggers did same thing to my RR. Could see the teeth width carvings all over just the black felt stuff. Never found where they made the nest out of it. Now once in awhile I put a 5 gallon bucket 1/2 full of water and birdseed sprinkled on top. 2x4 from ground up to bucket and hanging over water. Drowns the buggers by the dozens! Very satisfying.I have found a felt site, maybe on to the correct path , anybody else have this kind of issue with Mice ?
My Viper stays in garage so no mice. Cats in shed all summer.

I pulled almost all the insulation and felt out of my sled. I left some near the exhaust but that’s it. I opened all the vent holes up (very carefully) with a brand new hacknsaw blade and then cleaned the cuts up with a sharp razor blade. My sled runs much cooler now. It’s much easier for cold air to move in and hot air to move out.

I also had a mouse make a nest out of some of my felt. Only good thing is I found it drowned in the dogs water bucket.
Thanks for the idea of what to order but what kind of glue do you think will work best? Thanks!
