2016 Viper XTX
I’m new to a 2016 viper xtx (non-turbo).
For our riding the 1.6” track (2.86 pitch) does not cut it.
I have a 141” x 2.25” track (3.0pitch) for it.
Where do I start here?
New drivers first?
Gearing need changing?
Clutch kit?

Any direction offered would be helpful!!

Since you are changing the drivers, I might suggest a new driveshaft with the new drivers.... It's likely that the previous owner has a spun driveshaft and starting fresh (with some form of driveshaft saver like BOP driveshaft saver) is a wise investment. It's what I did when changing drivers to get a new pitch to go 144" for more track options.

Thanks for that.

What size of drivers should i look for with the 3.0 pitch?

I know some XTX's came with a 2.25" but I'm having a hard time finding a parts breakdown of those sleds - i was just going to copy that set up.

But now I'm diving in, and not sure how to piece this together.

Do I need to look at gearing or is the stock XTX gears suitable?

Probaly clutching would be a bigger benefit just with the extra track weight alone??

so i found the parts list for the 2015 xtx that came with a 141" x 2.25" track.

What i see is
- gearing is the same at 21/41 as my 2016.
- driver looks like a 7T x 3.0 instead of the 8T x 2.86 mine has.

am i correct just to fine the 7T x 3.0 drivers from an MTX and should be good to go?

Thanks for the confirmation!
I can’t wait to try out that track, I think it’ll really wake up the performance in the off trail snow!
