What is the point of the X's in the column of "Common Parts" then? I was under the understanding that those parts were already on the sled and were reused. Is that not true?

The common parts noted were simply there to say that they are not special order and you may already have them. In the translation from the parts catalog to everything required there are a lot of parts that are already there or are not unique to the EPS mod.
