2018 Yamahas

Could be more of a "Gentlemans" agreement between Yamaha and Cat. I don't think cat ever offered an M7000 did they? don't think they had an XF7000 high country either as their customers probably prefer the 600/800 in those types of sleds anyhow.

For 2014 the longest track was the XF7000 with a 1.6"
For 2015 through 2017 you can get the 7000 in a high country and M7000. Your right though, most of western dealers prefer to carry the 600/800 to compete directly with Polaris and Ski Doo in the two stroke market.

Is anyone getting the 2018s? Nothing's coming up here
It won't, the release is on Yamaha Dealer Network at 11am central. Expect the website to update within the hour. Probably noon. Followed by the videos being posted to YouTube under Yamaha North America, or similar group.

Apex, Phazer, Vector all still around. My first glance shows the big news is the SnoScoot. Otherwise it's a dizzying number of sidewinders to choose from. Apex and sidewinder get 50th graphics on specific models. . New SRVenture touring sled.

I know they will not mention anything but I gotta wonder if they did anything with the SW clutches and belts? There were enough folks who did have issues.

New suspension tech for the front on the Apex XTX looks interesting, linking the two front shocks together.

What a joke

You obviously have never had children in the age group just shy of full sled certification. That age bracket wants to not only ride, but drive. And parents want them to be independent. Seeing adults ram that thing around reminds me of the adults grabbing the original snoscoot next door and doing the same exact thing. It only goes to show that kids from 4-12 are going to love it. Heck, it has a cobra track with lugs! That should make any 120 owning parent happy knowing they won't get stuck going over the damn curb!

Guess I won't need to upgrade the 06....not sure how one remote reservoir for both shocks affects handling much.

If the reservoirs are linked it should affect it quite a bit. Think hydraulic sway bar. Toyota has a similar system on their 4 Runners

I was thinking that...hyd. sway bar....instead of twisting the opp. spring mechanically, fluid tightens the shock.....and is adjustable. I'm Johnny Skeptical on this one...lol.....with adjustable rebound and compression, spring rates, heavier sway bars, standard gytr shocks work really well when set up. Without some super noticeable advancement, I'd rather see a supercharged apex cruiser and lake racer for the last year....go out big! Any swdr lost sales would be minimal. Give the Apex it's due...a sendoff as the fastest sled ever built....!
