2019 release

Not sure if we will get much more than. An “srx” this season with the cat contract on fence of renewal (I’m guessing not) they may wait till next season to release a few all yamaha models. Let’s hope.

Yamaha faithful can be settled in knowing that the contract is not going anywhere. The release of the Wildcat XX with Yamaha 998 solidfied that. Unless they make a deal with Textron off road for engines on the dirt side only. I don't see that happening.

They said there is no contract term....

Insurance company’s are really not liking the 4dig displacements hence the 998. So I feel they will be avoiding them.

I’ve seen it in editorial form but not mentioned at the release, or on website and we all know that it would take more than shorter shocks to get geometry right. And to be same travel would require new bulkhead or sprinkle and tunnel mounting locations at the least. It would require some written confirmation and bragging from the oem in my opinion.

True my insurance initially was reluctant to insure my Viper RTX-SE. Maybe they thought it was the Sidewinder. I know in the motorcycle world some companies frown on anything over 1000 cc or an "R" in the name.

I don't know if this is true or not. Just a pic being passed around.

Before these pics are pulled down, as we know they will here, we should discuss. It looks to be exactly as we guess. A rebranded Sidewinder in the 2019 thundercat specs. I love the color combination for sure. The teaser showed us the proper use of white on the spindles rather than the plastics. Viper/Sidewinder white plastics were the hardest things to keep clean for sure! I don't suppose we will see a 137" version.

Would be nice if they would just turn it up to 12psi!!that would give it the edge over the cat

In the video it said the SRX featured a fully clipped 137" 1" ripsaw track, lowered ride height, 'stealth controls' & Fox iQs electronic suspension

Ofcourse it’s rebranded sidewinder. It’s called The sidewinder srx. They only have 137”. Love the color but not a 137+ rider so had to go with the se and build my sled and get a wrap with aftermarket. Debatable on the lower suspension with some the heavier on trail chop. It’s pretty good in current form but could be a benifit I suppose.
