The difference would be a possible 2 stroke engine, how cool would that be!! Next on the list is a light weight awesome handling and riding 2 stroke VMax triple trail sled...…….

As much as I'd love to hear a new triple 2 stroke, it isn't going to happen. I'd be willing to bet a modern HPDI triple will all the added technology (extra weight) would weight closer to what the 4 stroke triple weighs than what a Twin 2 stroker weights. Then consider the triple really NEEDS triple pipes to make great power, where are those fitting on today's chassis? If I new engine shows up, I'd bet the farm on the Wolverine 847 with a turbo over a new triple 2 stroke, that engine is built for boost with forged components.

deciphering the patent it looks to have the apex engine super charged or a turbo..when they patented the sidewinder engine they called it a supercharger so it could be either i guess!!!

Bringing this thread back to life. A 2020 Mountain Max could happen. Imagine a Sidewinder MTX rebadged. Or that infamous AC two stroke/Monorail in Mountain Max wrap. Hmm.
