Totally agree. Would love to see this machine more refined.I agree completely that the Pro Cross chassis is light years ahead of any Yamaha design, but I also agree that AC took some shortcuts and saved some money in places where Yamaha engineers, if left to their own devices, would not have done so. Don't get me wrong, I fell in love with a 1049 cc Vector, and that was what brought me to Yamaha; my wife still rides a 2013 Vector, and I plan to keep that sled, even when she upgrades it. The DB chassis is/was a very comfortable, high-mile, groomed trail sled. The problem is/was, that when the trails got beat up, so did the rider. My wish for 2020 would be to have Yamaha fix all of the AC shortcuts on the Pro Cross, including the Viper ECU, Tri-Hub, chain case, etc. etc., and build it the Yamaha way from the ground up.

Okey, now its time for some hints..spy fotos.. Come on! someone give us some hints whats coming for 2020!
I know the AC - Yamaha relationship is supposed to have ended, and so maybe this would not be branded with a Yammie logo (if it gets built), but it's good to see some interest in the entry level/younger rider segment: https://www.snowtechmagazine.com/top-secret-2020-arctic-cat-firecat-300/

Im not sure where you guys are getting your info from but the contract between Artic Cat and Yamaha has not ended and will not end any time soon. Some of you guys just got to get it through your head that this is the future. I think that they will slowly get things ironed out. It is getting alittle better every year and I do agree that there is a lot of things that need to change. If your waiting for things to go back the way they were pre 2014 it's not gonna happen.

With all due respect, what proof do you have that it's not going to end? Nobody knows, including you. What almost everyone wants is for Yamaha to be relevant in snowmobile design and assembly if we had our choice. My opinion is that the agreement, as we know it is not going to exist much longer at all. It's purpose was to save both companies from disappearing. That has been accomplished with success, as it has saved both companies from closing the doors. But it is not optimal for either company to continue as is. Clearly this is just my opinion as I know nothing, and you know what people say about opinions.

I have no proof but this agreement has definitely helped Yamaha more than cat and with out a decent chassis and suspension Yamaha is doomed. Where do you think they would be today with out them. I can tell ya where, you would still be riding the delta box. I am not one of those guys that thinks Yamaha is going to re invent the wheel and come out with a completely new chassis and suspension.

I'm a hardcore Yamaha guy, but I'm just stating the truth. The procross is a more capable suspension and chassis package, and it should be as it is many years newer than the RX, Phazer and Nytro.
The 11 up Apex is a new as the Cat, we can argue all day which is better. Guess it all depends on what you want to get out of it. Just glad you agree with me.

I love the Delta Box, Last great Yamaha sled. As Yamaha does not build sleds anymore other then a VK 540 it would look like they are already doomed. Without Cat they would be nothing, with Cat they are a engine builder and piggy backing off of them.

You mean when the brought out the Viper that kept smashing gears and destroying engines, God lets hope we are not going back to that. What you say though is that embrace Cat and its chassis and I agree, Yamaha will continue to buy and sell Cats well into the near future. As an Engine supplier they make money and selling Cat sleds they make money so why change a good thing? So your choices are Cat, Doo and Poo. That whether you believe it or not is a sad thing! Thankfully the sleds Yamaha did make last on and on and on. That is why we ride them and love them.

Not really. It is just a slightly tweaked version of the chassis that came out in 03. Many parts will interchange from 03 through 18.The 11 up Apex is a new as the Cat, we can argue all day which is better. Guess it all depends on what you want to get out of it. Just glad you agree with me.
