When a chain gets to 130 pages, it is hard not to repeat yourself (or someone else) every now and then!

I don’t think we will ever see sleds manufactured in Japan again... Hopefully we will get a pure Yamaha sled manufactured at a Yamaha plant... that way you will still have the fit and finish that Yamaha is known for!!!!

....and a rock-solid chaincase?

What I want to see is the return of the Sx-R. Look just like the srx but with medium windshield, QS3 ski and rear arm shock, non srx springs, 1.25 ripsaw II track.

Maybe all black skis and rails for a little color variation.

Sign me up!

I have no proof but this agreement has definitely helped Yamaha more than cat and with out a decent chassis and suspension Yamaha is doomed. Where do you think they would be today with out them. I can tell ya where, you would still be riding the delta box. I am not one of those guys that thinks Yamaha is going to re invent the wheel and come out with a completely new chassis and suspension.

You are right there, in that the agreement helped Yamaha more than AC. Yamaha was in much worse shape than AC. Delta box II was fine for the type of groomed trail riding I do. It was just way too heavy. Re-inventing the wheel? It's done in snowmobiling like every 3-5 years going back to the 70s. Oil injection, EFI, IFS, A-arm fronts suspension, electronic reverse, long travel rear suspension, performance 4-stroke, rider forward position, clean burning two strokes, mountain specific sleds, single rail mountain suspension, etc etc. These are not all Yamaha contributions, but you get the point. So why can't Yamaha do it again?

RISK VS REWARD!

What does Yamaha do to reinvent? What is going to take them back to the top?

Alpha One chassi 2stroke with Yamaha stickers (and I really do mean that in a positive way!)

Yamaha will be what lynx is to skidoo.. a little bit different and one year behind..

Unfortunately the snow mo biz is not that profitable anymore so not really worth the risk for Yamaha. They have plenty of other ventures that are more profitable!

Does anybody recall how long before the official release we started seeing the teaser vids for the Viper and Sidewinder?
Seems like if there was something other than BNG we should see teasers any time now

Guys, I was just out riding near the Yamaha test area this afternoon when I came across these tracks. Looks like they're really listening to us and gone after some very significant weight reduction. Rumors are this thing really flies too. Apparently they haven't worked out the steering yet, probably 2021 before it's released.
