He sells precision tunes.Wonder how many of those 100 got flashed up? Could it be that dealers don't see flashed SW's? Most guys w tuned sleds are working on them themselves and know dealers/factory won't warranty modified sleds. My dealer told me when I picked up my sled, if I flash it up and it develops a warranty failure of some kind, to not bring it back because Cat will deny the claim just because the sled is flashed. Dealer response seems odd because on TY there is sooo much discussion about clutch problems.
The common denominator on the failures posted on this site are that they were full of non-OEM parts.

Dan, I want to commend you for your diplomacy. I have been on TY for many years, and you are no doubt, one of the best when it comes to choosing the high road or the low road. Thanks Bro for keeping all civil.
I totally agree with you Motorhead.
XP123 sure has been busting Rockerdan's balls recently and Dan hasn't taken the bait, but like you said Dan has taken the high road instead:
That's a real pretty color Dan. My wife would really like it. Does it come in men's?
You should buy it Dan and bring it to Maaco for a paint job. I'll bet they could paint everything including the rails for under 100 bucks.
Dan I see those drama classes are working out good for you. I don't think a 300 lb engine in a procross chassis will have any effect on the "horrible" 900t itc.
I have lost count of all the ex Sidewinder owners who have and are switching to the "horrible" 900t Doo. I get pm's all the time and they all tell me how much happier they are now that they are back on Doo.
As a matter of fact a friend of mine who has posted here many times just sold his 270 hp tuned 50th anniversary Winder on a 2020 900t XRS Manta green His dealer will be installing a Hurricane tune before he picks it up. He rode my "horrible" 900t and liked it a lot and thought it was very responsive. Like I said when he tried my "horrible" sled he was riding a 270 hp tuned Winder .
When you order your belt blowing, oil burning, rod bearing eating 850 Doo don't forget to turn off the lights here on TY.

So let's say for s&g's yam buys the sled division from textron and the mfgr facility at trf.
Do they dissolve cat sleds or make yam built cats?
Didnt textron just take their name off the sxs and ATV to put arctic cat name back on them? Where they gonna build?
I'm skeptical on the textron sell out.
I just see so much potential for newly engineered models for 2021 designed by both cat and yam at the draft table.

Sorry Dan but I'm not mad. The only reason I don't have an issue with the ITC is because I ride with my wife otherwise I would go nuts with it.LOL Joe.....
I still find it interesting that you feel the need to go into every single forum around the internet to defend the 900t....
Yeah the 900t(iTC) is hated by many, and the ones who will 'get used to the iTC' or 'put up with the iTC' will certainly be happy and post often in the thread of "this is the best sled ever" over on DT.
No need to get mad at me Joe, Its all the magazines and Tv show test riders who say this too. Not too mention most performance type riders. For the cruisers who ride with their wives it seems to be a non issue for sure. The guys that are happy shouldn't be worried about what others think.
Have a nice summer brother

I have to agree with this post. Is it possible we have a new sled/chassis coming? Call it a Yamicat? LolSo let's say for s&g's yam buys the sled division from textron and the mfgr facility at trf.

Ok here’s the problems as I see it with the buy out or OEM agreement. I have been in the industrial OEM business for 30 + years so I’m experienced in these type of relationships. I was very excited when Yamaha and AC first started the Alliance the best in 4s engines was partnering with a very creative chassis company so when they start to evolve and mesh the collaboration sled could be leading edge. I’m sure both AC and Yamaha management told employees you will cooperate or you are out we want this to work so get along and help or we don’t need you. So both companies needed each other to try and turn things around and the Viper then Sidewinder came to market quickly. Unfortunately we never got a new chassis or a product that was new from the ground up so the OEM relationship never produced a leading edge new snowmobile. AC was in severe financial trouble and was acquired by Textron for AC dirt products and the snowmobile division was an ugly sister add on Textron would deal with later. The market became saturated with duplicate snowmobiles and Yamaha cut back on chassis orders which I’m sure didn’t impress Textron. The AC models didn’t sell well either so Textron eliminated the 3cylinder NA engine and only buys the 3 cylinder turbo engine for the Tcat which I’m sure didn’t impress Yamaha. Soooo where do we go for here? Textron doesn’t care what happens to Yamaha no reason to care and if Yamaha snow division folds Textron has one less competitor and could easily go it alone with their own 4s and 2s engines. Yamaha is at a crossroads either go it alone or purchase the snow division from Textron. Imo Textron doesn’t have a lot of value to Yamaha since the procross is dated and a new chassis has a high cost for new tooling. So imo Yamaha doesn’t have a lot of options for their snow division no matter what Yamaha does it will take a major investment to continue and succeed. Textron can milk their snow division cash cow, sell it to Yamaha or invest big bucks to be independent with their own engines and new chassis. Whatever happens from here doesn’t look good for either company at this time. Will there be a happy ending for Textron?....maybe. The ball is in Yamahas court to survive in the snow business and so far they’re not talking about the future so many consumers are leaving going with doo absorbing a lot of sales with their Ace NA and turbo. Yamaha needs to make a decision very soon to invest or pull out of the snow business their current direction is NOT working. So let's say for s&g's yam buys the sled division from textron and the mfgr facility at trf.

As an interesting side note...I have been noticing on my go to Yamaha online parts suppliers that more and more of the 2019 Sidewinder body parts and decals are starting to show up as unavailable. Pretty odd that you can't buy a hood or numerous decals already for a sled that isn't even a year old.

This is from one of the major OEM online parts suppliers I have been using for years. There are other websites that are starting to show some model specific parts as unavailable as well...from what I have observed, this has just occurred within the last month or so and I have been only looking at 2019 Sidewinders parts.

Don't want to side track this thread...don't need any parts but I have noticed this on a couple different online parts suppliers and only noticed it on 2019 SW SRX and X-TX LE models but that's the only place I was looking. The parts showed available a few weeks ago and now show unavailable.
Maybe just temporary website glitches??
Time will tell I guess.

Must be just that particular parts supplier. I looked at two different ones and that stuff is still available. I guess that would be fake news just like a lot of other carp that some people are talking about.

All good questions and at this time we are all just speculating. So let's say for s&g's yam buys the sled division from textron and the mfgr facility at trf.
Do they dissolve cat sleds or make yam built cats?

The way I have heard it.....Cat 'sled division' only is what Yamaha will buy, which gets them the TRF assembly plant. Cat sleds will be back going forward but be 2s only, 4s will be YAM. All other "dirt" powersports Cat products will still be owned by Textron. Again, this is all speculation so we will see what happens going forward.
