Maybe Jaret would be so kind and answer this question... why can't Yamaha build their own chassis? you have the best motors no question asked, I think some true blues have been waiting on Yamaha and were hoping for something other than a co shared chassis for 2021, the pro cross has filled in and kept Yamaha in the game but I think as Yamaha true blues we would like to see a chassis we can call or own again.

I am not one bit pissed off about this release! This is almost exactly what i expected....i came to the realization that they were done with sled R x D a few years ago (at least in Japan) its either this or a 850 timebomb!

Thanks JMS for your reply, looking forward to reading your post later in the week, I will say this, that I am running a pure Yamaha built sled that is not offered in your line up anymore, and the build quality Yamaha has put into this sled and reliability is frankly like a piece of art, and this my friend is what True blues are wanting back, your engines are unbelievable and are also works of art we just want a pure Yamaha chassis to match, that's what the bitching is about.

Admittedly, some problems should have been fixed sooner, but you are way over-exaggerating problems on this sled.
Don't forget about Chinese cracked cylinder heads, Cooling issues, failing Tri-hub, and bent tunnels....
The winder is so close to being the MOST perfect performance sled on snow. I will continue to hope @JMS@Yamaha is right and they will iron out and eradicate ALL the issues. There really is no need for a new chassis, or motor. Just make this one work with a zero defect mentality and its a winner. There is so much to love on the winder, but I still hate mine because of all the 'small, over exaggerated' problems give it no merit for Yamaha's legacy. Also use your new economies of scale and keep a da*n long block in stock and get us back on the trail please......
My example is a good one, first engine was Yamaha's fault, 2nd was dealers fault for having to order it in pieces, now its good? maybe? I won't find out until it either leaves me stranded or does not. A factory assembled longblock like you can get from AC is a much better, cheaper, faster way to save a customers face. You not only lose credibility with a yamaha faithful (me) but the 20+ ski doo riders in the group towing me in are also NEVER going to look at a Yamaha. Reliability is cheap advertising...
Keep the T cat at $14K, keep the winder at $18K but make the winder have all the upgrades like mentioned above, show that winders never fail while Tcats do, this is why people would spend more and be proud of what they ride.
Thanks for listening JMS!

I see that the spring order LE models get a 3 year warranty. What does the rest of the line-up have for a warranty?

I've only ever experienced chain case problems on my sled and all the guys around that have Winders.Don't forget about Chinese cracked cylinder heads, Cooling issues, failing Tri-hub, and bent tunnels....

The transporter lite is a real gem. The clutches engage smooth and low and allow you to navigate tight areas very easily. They also stay engaged very low (~3000rpm) allowing you to lug it through tight slow terrain.
One big push for us is 4-seasonality for our dealer network, the same dealer a customer buys his outboard, boat or motorcycle from is the dealer that sells and services his snowmobile. Building this relationship and keeping customers in the same dealer is very important.
Programs differ greatly between brands, availability in season vs spring order also differs. There are many factors to consider.
1. We are working on improving quality of the units constantly, as outlined in one of my above posts.
2. This year marks a significant shift in our product offering, we are targeting new areas of the market that we were not in before (MTN, Affordable mid size, 2-Stroke Utility), and we are able to have a diverse offering due to our supply agreement and collaboration with our partners at AC. At this time we are happy with the current relationship and quick speed we have to react and bring products to the market.
Unfortunately i wont be at Ottawa, i will be in Barrie.
It is an ongoing agreement.
You are correct it is engine reverse which spins the motor backwards.
You understand. Time to market and ROI all affect decisions made for the product offering. Getting relevant products to the market and expanding to more segments help to strengthen the business. As with the inventory correction in 2019 each decision is methodical with the overall business in mind.
I hope you guys address the intake issues (can’t keep snow out ) and primary clutch exploding issues on the arctic cat mountain sleds. Someone is going to get seriously hurt with the team mountain clutches exploding.

Hey TPAY, You might want to consider the new Venom, the Winder may be just to much sled.

I think all new sleds ordered get the 3 year warranty. It is a bit deceiving in the ad.I see that the spring order LE models get a 3 year warranty. What does the rest of the line-up have for a warranty?
But I could be wrong??

My buddy rides a SkiDoo. I just asked him if he’s seen the 2021 Yamahas and he hadn’t so I told him to go to arcticcat.com. I needn’t say more to him. He totally understood. I’ll say this, it’s not just this site blowing up with displeasure and disappointment. Every Facebook post about today’s release has way more negative responses than positive ones. Yamaha, you had to know this wasn’t going to go well today right? That’s why you waited so long for the release? You even lost out on Venom sales where the Blast was introduced in November and Arctic Cat was taking orders not long after.
I was going to say the same thing. All social media responses have not been good.

A lot of us want a PURE Japanese snowmobile. Because we know we are getting our money's worth if we buy a PURE Japanese snowmobile. I am not rich and therefore I can't afford to buy these "disposable" snowmobiles that are out there. Is it too much to ask to want the fit and finish as well as the technology and dependability that is found in a PURE Japanese snowmobile? Am I somehow being rude and mean to want this???? After all its MY money right? Just look at how awesome the R1 motorcycle is. Yamaha is not a small back woods company. I am not going to feel sorry for Yamaha. There are people on here that are actually think we are somehow being a bully and that we should leave poor Yamaha alone simply because we want a PURE Japanese snowmobile. Please spare me the "awe poor Yamaha you guys are picking on this multi BILLION dollar company, you are so mean" Trust me, they have Noooooooo problem taking your money and selling you junk.

I can almost guarantee that since the Blast is mostly Cat, they came to an agreement to set the release dates the way they were.I was going to say the same thing. All social media responses have not been good.
Let's face it, plenty of Cat dealers won't like this arrangement.

I would have agreed with you only a few short years ago, but after riding a Winder for three years now, I really feel that the procross chassis, suspension and especially exhaust is going to outlast the all-yamaha models and have less cost of ownership in the long run.A lot of us want a PURE Japanese snowmobile.
