2021 Sidewinders

Thats what I am looking for ! With my linq set up my holders are even further back than yours , so I have a little more room , for the large bag and a mountain seat . I think. I like the semi rigid bag with the interior clasps . My tunnel bag looks bush compared to that one . Sweet !

Oh boy I have a list a mile long. Might run these tuners with snow trackers. My brother has them on his and they work great. I have a set of red Pilot 5.7s on my 2017 and are awesome but obviously can’t swap them over due to color. CAI, Hurricane SM SS bundle etc. most of the mods I did to my 2017

Almost half way through the summer months , anyone here any news on sidewinders in production?

Yamaha's agreement with Arctic Cat doesn't allow any news regarding production of Yamaha sleds. I've heard that Arctic Cat has recently had a production run of Thunder Cats so that sounds promising.

Hang in there (I'm waiting for a new SRX) and I'm sure it will be worth the wait when you get the call from your dealer that your new sled has arrived.

Like the new Srx with blue and grey. Wish it came with 1.5 track and I would get my wallet out
I am with you too, cant believe all that money for a new SRX and cant even get a good track.

fleecer and myself live in northern maine........... nothing but high speed trails here. Old railroad beds and wide open logging roads for trails everywhere you go. Moral of the story is I couldnt possibly care less if the top sprocket needed 2 replacements a winter, its $30ish bucks online and $10 of oil and about an hr of my time to swap out. Gonna take alot more than that to make this guy sad. I rode about 100 miles last friday before work and 170 on saturday with my wife. Saw 3 skidoo g4 sleds broke down on side of trail total...........one guy had so much parts strooled out on the side trail that the oncoming sleds had to wait for us to go by because he was blocking a lane.........they all have faults, thats life, pick your poison.
I have to agree, i also ride Northern Maine and there is no lack for speed you can lay down in the County. I replaced the top gear at 2500 miles and it had some signs of wear but it did not look like it was going to come apart. I put a new one in, not a hard job to do once a year i am sure it could have gone another season. I do with my GF 250 - 300 mile days every time we ride and i have total confidence in my Sidewinder. I now have 4400 miles on the Sidewinder and it has never let me down. almost all miles were boosted and most of the riding pretty hard on the trigger. I am sure strange things can break with any machine but i dont see the Sidewinder being a time bomb.

I'm beginning to think Yamaha maybe made a mistake by bringing back the SRX labelling.
It's still a Sidewinder. There is another sidewinder with deeper track called LTX.
They're just letters.

So nice to read this, the way some describe the SW as being a sled that needs work all too often and that the new Ski doo is trouble free...jump on and ride. Thanks JPS for some positive feedback. Joe

that would defeat the purpose of that model

Yep sure would, especially if you bought it not only because of it’s stunning looks, but because of what they did to this model to make it the fastest stock production sled “EVER”. Lowering the sled and adding a 1” track make that model faster then any stock Winder, on long flat hard surfaces! Stock for Stock, it is the fastest top end speed period.

But who am I to tell someone what to do with their sled. People enjoy giving their sleds some personality, and WOW what a model to start with. I am all Blue when it comes to SRX’s, but many enjoy the other nostalgic colors that were SRX’s. Has always stood for fast and great handling that SRX, no matter the year!!!
