2022 Apex

I always forget to clarify...my custom suspension, boosted apex and its flawless reliability for almost a decade hooked me. Not a stock Apex compared to a stock winder. Winder is great performer but lost me in reliability being the worst mistake I have ever spent money on...I'm glad its worked for you.
No worries, the Apex is an interesting sled in many ways, I wish yamaha would have continued to evolve it. I may put one in my fleet someday if the right deal comes along. That engine is still pretty cool.

Although mine and Kinger's path for our machines are following different paths, they are going in similar directions. I've come to the conclusion that it may never be the perfect sled, but it may be close to perfect for me and the type of riding I do.
Last ride out it was still putting a BIG smile on my face. And that's about 95 percent of what it's all about.
The beauty is that I've still got several mods to go to continue improving the machine to my liking.
The only thing I will probably never be able to do is make it as light as I'd like. But we'll see.

I may have mentioned it before but look into a Ski Doo xp tank/seat retrofit on your Apex, dump the headlight assem and go with LED and a mountain fit or cr racing hood. You will pull over 30 lbs off right there AND get all the fuel under your butt where it makes the sled so much more balanced. It may sound extreme at first but its not bad once you get into it. At 181hp with a lightweight yama charger on it, I bet she is fun!
