after ecp install doesn't start real easy

I am pretty sure it should be set at 2 turns. But its still normal to have to crack the throttle A lil to start. I moved my key switch to the left side just for this reason.

the setting says 1 3/4 to 2 turns so i split the differance, "CRACKING THE THROTTLE" is that really the answer to the problem or just the bandaid to solve it

works for me I am sure theres prolly A real solution but I am not gonna pull the carbs apart to worry about it.

starting

try larger pilot jets . after all you run bigger mains with the ecp kit why not at lest one size larger pilot jets. and yes mine sled did this from new as well but my pilot jets were pluged right from new as well. ( with varnish from the factory run up fuel)

Prolly cause nobody ever brought it up whats the benefit to changing the starter jets? Besides using more fuel on start up and possibly increasing chance of flooding it on start up?

I also cleaned the pilots out from new as they were clogged with varnish and also punched them out a lil with A machinists drill but I wasnt gonna recommend this as its not the proper way to do it. Replacing them for bigger is.

My sled from brand new had to have the throttle cracked A wee bit when it was warm to start it.

Holy s#!t guys, it's not a fuely it's got carbs; YOU MUST CRACK THE THROTTLE when starting the warm engine case closed.

I have to crack the throttle, I kind of like it because it roars to life, every time I start it I get a bunch of looks. Thing just sounds badazz!

If I don't crack it does sputter to life but doesn't sound as cool :)
