Heat pcv divider and bend over to minimize turbulence, as per first pic....
I thought we were leaving the "divider" in place as it is actually a support for the internal shelf. Cannondale had his crack and make a lot of rubbing wear.
Seems as though some even stock are cracking and wearing and some are not. Must be a big tolerance in airboxes or some of us just are unlucky.

Yes that's also called the divider. Some of us have either removed it or Glued it in place. Haven't figured out why it only some of us it has happened to but I had 2500mi on mine and once I bent the little fin that divider rests on with the two protrusions my divider cracked.Anybody find a cracked shelf in the air box?

I only have 1000 mi on mine, and pulled it apart to mod it and it's cracked. Will it have negative affects if I remove it or should I replace it and glue it in? Is it even a separate part you can get?

I left mine out and really could not tell the difference but it bothered me since it sure looks like it would smooth airflow. I bought a new one it is available. I may try gluing it. Is a post on it in FAQ.I only have 1000 mi on mine, and pulled it apart to mod it and it's cracked. Will it have negative affects if I remove it or should I replace it and glue it in? Thanks for the info. Prolly gonna get a new one and try gluing it myself.
Got to be at least 5 guys that posted it happened to them already. I suspect more are out there. Worth inspecting for sure. Even a piece of plastic through motor could be catastrophic.

I damaged my frog skin and I ordered one from my dealer. Had it in 2 days. 8.00 bucks. Old one peels off and just clean the sticky stuff off your box and peel the backing off the new one and place into position. Real easy to do if you puncture it.

I'll probably order a couple I'm sure I'll end up with a hole in it lol.
Could take it off before doing mod. 3m trim and gasket adhesive works great as glue for it. Is at O rielly auto for sure. Black
