Finally finished converting my 08 RTX to a 136. Turned out pretty good I think. Extensions were from OFT racing (great product). While I was at it I installed OFT's steering block along with upbushmans spacers. The steering is rock solid now. Far better then stock ever was. Cut down a 1.5 ripsaw track (using the table saw method) with the help from my Uncle. Started changing out all the idler bearings and decided to just convert over to Apex style spoked wheels. Installed a custom made closeout panel that I had RTX lasered out. Threw on a Yoshi pipe (not sure if it really gave me any more hp but, damn it sounds sweet. Can hardly wait for snow.

Yes, the block off plate was lasered out and then I put a piece of painted aluminum behind it to give a recessed look.

The bumper is 9.5 in longer. I added in some additional bracing too. The pipe is RS-5 yoshi from a Kaw 636. I fabed up the hole thing in stainless.

Ha ha. Didn't even notice the van, lol.
I usually don't pay much attention to the long traksc because of the lack of powder around here, but, yours is very nicely done! I like it a lot! Nice and clean, but still mean!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Would you believe that my insurance company totaled this out last season due to a crash. I put an additional 500 miles on it after it was totaled and it still handled fine. Everything said and done, I had to replace the front subframe and straighten one rail. Went through the whole thing (had it down to the engine and tunnel) looking for other damage. While it was apart I stripped down the front A arms and had them powder coated a different color along with the skid. I took care of other items addressed here on the forum. I have to say this forum is amazing. Lots of great information and everyone is helpful. :rocks:

OOOO Yes I can believe it. I bought a totaled out one buy insurance chassis from a guy who bought a new chassis. I bought it to replace my stuff. Front frame, all a-arm, both clutches, tunnel, handle bars, skis, spinals, whole tunnel. now that was totaled. The chassis I bought to replace it (totaled to) only had a dent in the tunnel, broking plastic (that was hitting the clutch and it scared the insurance people) and a broke steering post.

I like how you extended the factory grap bar, it still looks factoy. I bought a MTX one on mine and shortened it.

The rear bumper did turn out nice, only problem now is my cover does not fit. Anyone know if a MTX yamaha cover will fit? I extended the rear bumper 9.5 inches. Thanks.
