Anybody install their Boss seat yet?

It isn't going to be an easy swap, anybody have any tips? 1/4 inch has to be taken off the entire edge of the exaust covers, trimming needs to be done on the plastic cowling around the tail lights too :shock:

Dan, Im going to have a go at mine tonight. Just got off the phone with Boss about the taillights. You need to take the bracket off the bottom of the stock seat and bolt it into the holes on the exhaust shield then trim to top as shown in picture. Then, the snaps get rivited to the plastic trim and the holes on the flexible vinyl go over the tail lights and snap in 3 places to the plactic trim. I just tried to install my seat and i am very disapointed with the fit, there is a 3/4 in. gap up front ,there is a 1/2 in. gap on tunnel and the back of the seat rides on the bolt that holds the exhaust cover on, it is creased and wrinkeled up front ,the seat area in the rear is uneven, and its the wrong color. i called boss and they told me they were gonna take a seat over to the local dealer and try and fit it on?Maybe it's just me but i would have done that before i shiped 28 seats. they said they would call tomorrow and let me know what they found.

You mean they didn't try there production seats on a sled before they shipped them out? Thats the stupidest thing I ever heard! I havn't even received my seat yet (not that I need it for a few months) But I paid for it about 2 months ago and would like to see it soon so I could send it back if they're as bad of a fit that you guy's say.
BlueBuyYou2000 don't worry from what I hear from all the guy's on snowest Boss stands behind there stuff......at least I hope this is true!

I sure hope Boss comes up with some answers cause this seat looks Great! I love the seating position and of course the feather weight

I cant believe what I am seeing, my SRX seat fit like a condom, perfect. You wouldnt think that this is a early production rush job, they have been talking about rx seats for over a year now. What gives? I thought for a while that the boss rx seat was going the way of redline.
