On a good note, that's the exact same suspension I have in my rtx le. I wonder if that would fit in a sidewinder?
Yup bolt right in. This is latest version Weasel. Even better than last year.On a good note, that's the exact same suspension I have in my rtx le. I wonder if that would fit in a sidewinder?
600 2 smoke. That includes weight of strapping. Do the math it's under 500. 15 lbs lighter than last year and no airshocks even.501 lbs what is it a 800 2. Smoke?

Should not have sold my 15 Rtx-le , could have swaped the suspensions if I get an 18. Looks like yamaha may not offer it anymore may have to go to AC to get the yamaha machine I want. Not good. I may put on my 18 deposit. Machine only accepted as advertised during snow check on contract or contract cancelled.

Pic of 2017 XC cat which is available to public. This is the so called rr skid! It does exist. Yamaha got screwed.
A picture is worth a thousand words......this Cat skid is what Yamaha Rep described to me at the "Sneak Peek Show" back in March. He said the RTX-LE would be a real ditch banger and would weigh 6 to 8 lbs more than the LTX-LE. His description of the suspension was the main reason I Snow Checked the sled. It now appears we are getting the same skid installed in ZR 6000 RS 129 Cat?? Very disappointing!!

So, whats the answer here guys? Do we have any recourse? Or are we just plain F----D? Like someone else posted, BAIT AND SWITCH! Shame on YAMAHA!

I think legally there is nothing you can do with that spec's subject to change line in there. There must be a reason yamaha is doing this. Prob make the 18/ 50th anniversary one look special or something. I ordered my 15 LE because I knew it was stronger not because I'm a big time ditch banger. Just for piece of mind. At $20 000 Canadian and AC put it in there sled something wrong with this picture. I wonder who made the call yamaha or AC.
That is the real question Curtis. Who made the decision and who made it in past 2 years also? This is very important and impacts all my decisions in future. Wish I knew.

Yes I hear you Cannondale. Almost seems like AC is running the show now. I really have to think hard about next year. I've been looking forward to getting yamaha's anniversary model thing it would be there best. This sillyness is just hurting them , how do they think they can rebuild buisness like this. That's why I think maybe AC has the control.
I have seen other very concerning issues with Yamaha the "Motor Company" Lets just say stick with the older Single Cam 700 grizzlies if in ATV market. They need to buy out cat. Samurai Sword the head off Cat and start showing the pride the Yamaha company has always had in the past.

I won't be buying another Yamaha because of the BS.
Oops my memory failed me. The 14's got the 8JP belt when we all were told 8DN was going to be on there. Easy fix but with the history of the Cat Chassis eating belts a change from the Norm 8DN was not welcome and did in fact prove to be a issue for many of us. So they are 3 years in on this deal with Cat and 3 strikes to Spring buyers! Thats not good. That is the real question Curtis. Who made the decision and who made it in past 2 years also? This is very important and impacts all my decisions in future. Wish I knew.
My RTX SE is finally in. But before it comes home it's getting LE shocks front and rear. I have the color I want with the shocks I want. Picking up a week from Tuesday.
