Mine was barely visible in sight glass. Filled it to the top. Plan on changing it with 1st oil change anyways. I have owned a lot of Cats and the best thing you can do is regular maintenance and check chassis after every 2 or 3 rides to make sure nothing comes loose and the sleds will rarely leave you stranded.

Yep, mine was low also, none visible in expansion/overflow tank just remnants in bottom which showed the yellow/green coolant color!
Checked all after first ride and found nothing more except one of the hood screw clips was not fastened, and I see why that one is really tight, it takes 2 hands to secure.

Mine was low also but that's fine as I always like to add a little Royal Purple Purple Ice super coolant to my machines' coolant systems, seems to help them run cooler. This is what I topped mine off with.

So I had to add coolant after first couple rides but coolant level was good for 3000kms. Just checking out my sled which hasn't moved for 3 weeks and noticed my overflow bottle was nearly empty. Checked for signs of leaks and under the sled but nothing visible. Topped it up to the cold mark and ran the sled up to 60c. Seems okay. Anybody else seen this?

Yes I'v added 1-litre in total a few hundred mls at a time a few times and after my last ride it seemes to have stabilized. So I had to add coolant after first couple rides but coolant level was good for 3000kms. I added about 8 oz of coolant over the winter and couldn't figure out where it was going. Finally found leak in the metal coolant tank located on right side just forward and above chaincase. It appears to be leaking from between the mating surfaces as all screws and hose clamps are tight. I haven't taken it apart yet as the seal is on back order....

I had to add coolant at the end of the year, couldn't find a leak and never noticed any coolant on the ground after sitting in the garage. Figured I'd check all connections and surely 90% of them I was able to get a full turn. The ones in the pics which are hidden behind the clutches were in the 90%. My thermostat housing wasn't tight either. Hopefully that explains the missing coolant.
