Has anyone swapped their tuner 3’s out for yamahas mountain ski on their sidewinder? They come factory on the mountain sidewinders obviously, but looking to see if anyone has put them on their trail winders and if so how they perform? And what carbides are being used?

Ive ran them on a few sleds now.

2018 Sidewinder LTX LE- 137x1.25" Unstudded
4" Round Bar Carbide- Very light steering, when running hard it would push a little when the snow was loose. Overall big improvement over Tuners.
6" Square Bar Carbides- Steering a bit heavier (Still less then Curves), much more positive bite, overall this was a good confident set up that you know is going to turn when you go into a corner.

2019 Sidewinder SRX LE- 137" x 1.00" Unstudded.
4" Round Bar Carbide- Same conditions as above, super light steering but needed a bit more carbide.
6" Round Bar Carbide- Works good so far with this track combo. Need to get more miles on to decide if i like the 6" round vs. the 6" Square.

Overall these skis work great, i ran Curve XS skis in the past but i find these are lighter steering then the Curves and offer great bite in the corners. They also do a great job of sitting on top of the snow, example going across a loose lake the skis will stay on top of the snow rather then sink like the Tuners.

Only Drawback are sometimes are low speed tight radius corners it doesn't turn as tight as it should, i think this is due to where the spindle is mounted in the skis. Small drawback for how good and cost effective these skis are.

Thats my 2c so far...

I have enjoyed them on my BTX. My only gripe is they hold a massive amount of water in the pockets when I bring it in the shop to thaw. I loaded it back in the trailer and ended with and ice cube tray. Other then that they float well, turn well although I noticed its not as sharp like the guy mentioned. I am happy with them for now!

Same part # as the stock blue Mountain ski on the 2019 X-TX LE 141 w/o the 00 at the end according to parts fiche. White handles also same as part # in accessories website.

I have them on my 17 Sidewinder BTX and have been very pleased with them on the trail.

I was under the impression those were Cat Mtn skis....when I got my used '17 B-TX it had those on it with single runner wear bars...I've run dual keel skis (Simmons or Curves) clear back to the late 90's and I hated the Mtn skis....they were all over the trail and cornered like sh*t....switched to Slydog Attack w/Slim Jim Dooly bars and now it rails, just like my Viper did with the Curves/Dooly's....FWIW

Looks like there not available any more i could look them up last year but its showing tuners on the xtx141 now maybe thats why they were back ordered until this year

I never really got to try them in those conditions....I had already switched to the Slydogs by the time we started getting pounded on a regular basis....I will say they were better than trail skis when doing a little off-trail but then there's not so much steering as pointing and leaning...
