have you noticed more power as it's loosened up? I'm sure it would run better out of the hole if the motor was starving for fuel.

Proline IMO rocks...Any kit that utilizes the ultimate artwork of DALTON clutch parts is TOPS in my eyes..
havent been touched by any apex to date...not even close....runs toe to toe with several of the locals fastest machs....and RADARS amazing too for top end....
I wish someone had an Ulmer kit here so I could run him...this year my sled has given me some serious confidence out of the hole and ontop...
even lightly studded with 96 studs and a 1 inch sneaker she pulls with the best machs outa the hole....Im loving that cause Im a EX machz guy of 15 yrs.
We have setup many sleds here with Dalton parts(similar to PL kit) and wow, they all rock.

Ive ran just about every kit on the market. I think the bottom line is get something that comes along with great support. They can all work, some better than others, depending on fine tuning.
With Stock weights, stock primary spring, stock helix (machined), white secondary spring (at 60), 40 bottom gear, machined primary, hauck fuel accelerator, excell exhaust, ripsaw track, 192 trail studs, and stock ride height....my sled has never ran better in all areas. Wicked holeshot, very very strong midrange and 123 on radar in 1/2 mile. For my riding weight and personal preferences, my sled is running better than it ever has. So good that im beating Mach Zs (clutched or not), 165hp Revs, and F1000s.
If you were to install my exact setup on a different sled, would it work as well? dont know, just saying it really works good on mine.
As for the motor breaking in and loosening up, yes it certainly has. But can tell you with 100% certainty, my mods are working...BBY

Interesing tidbit. At the radar run I was at, the 3 fastest Apexs were all running stock weights. 124,123,and 122 MPH...BBY

Matt,
Sorry to be a little off topic. U Like your Excell exhaust obviously.

All I know is that without the gear change, I feel none of the "Clutch kits" have much over a stocker, if anything, than a stocker with just a gear change. The gear does a hell of alot. This is in good hard packed conditions with minimal studs 96-144.....
Why do you think most of the kits come with a gear change?

No, I dont think its too loud, although the Wisconsin DNR may disagree. I really like the tone. Its got a low throaty sound to it...BBY
