most likely there is a hole in the silencer 2 into 1 pipe that the y pipes connect into.

Yep, what thor452 said, the transition joint, either the whole thing cracks or the welds do. I've had it happen twice on an 06 and 08 Apex, and usually on the top side next to the tunnel so it's not easily visible. Could also be the 2 mesh gaskets are shot that go over the round Y-pipes in that 2>1 transition.
These mesh gaskets, if not worn out, can get folded/crushed when re-installing the muffler pipe back over the 2 round Y-pipes if they are not lined up real well. When replacing the round mesh gaskets, I use a pipe expansion tool to open up the serrated ends of the exhaust pipe because they get compressed significantly when tightened by the band clamps. This allows the new gaskets to slide right in place, also use a little grease on the ends of the pipe and inside the mesh gaskets to help with the install. As I recall these mesh gaskets are quite spendy, so care should be taken when replacing so they aren't damaged, you only get one shot at it.
Cheers.

Agree with the previous post. Probably a crack around the 2 into 1.

Heres what mine looked like, but this was after 13000 miles.
Mine busted further back under the seat, closer to the muffler.
Hope yours is something simple?

I had 1 flex pipe broke at 9000 miles. No other issues. So check the flex pipes for cracks or breaks.
