A quick question about the big boy spring for the mono shock skid,what is the color they come painted? I'm looking at buying one and it's a silver color the same as the original but I see a shock on eBay with the BB spring installed plus the original silver spring but the optional spring is black.I know people will paint springs different colors but I'm going on the assumption that the spring on the eBay shock wasn't painted by the buyer and is original black.

There are two big boy springs that are painted silver like oem and one that is painted black. The 6.5 rate is black, while the 7.0 and 8.5 are silver. There are no markings on them. Only way i can tell them apart by is the diameter of the coil wire.

Call or email Bruce at Pioneer. He's the Ace on Big Boy springs. He sold me two of them and might be able to help you. He will get you the right one to fit your needs. You should revalve as well. His turn around time is fast now.
Yeah I think I'll play it safe and just order from Bruce,plus I've been meaning to get the shock revalved for a couple years now anyway.
