My father is 75yrs old and this past fall sold his 2006 Apex. He misses sledding and is considering another Apex however this time a newer one with power steering. Is the power steering that good that it will help him ride for a few more years? Or is he better off finding a good used Viper?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Yes the EPS works fantastic. Personally though I think he would be better off with a Viper for ride and comfort, and then add my mechanical power steering kit to it.

Thanks for the info, I never thought of that, I will definitely run that buy my father. I agree 100% that the better ride is the procross chassis.Yes the EPS works fantastic. I had a '2007 RTX without power steering. It never felt heavy and I personally never noticed a big difference between it and my 2015 XTX with power steering.

i notice when i have ridden a non eps sled in my shoulders at the end of the day. riding my eps apex's i run the same trails with the same model skis on all of the sleds and have no pain.

The BOP MPS option seems to get you darn close to EPS. Great product Travis, can't wait to try it out someday!

That's my take as well. You don't really notice the benefit of PS while riding as much as after when your shoulders are not aching for the next day or so.
