I have an 06 Apex GT and with nothing really new for the 09 season, I am going run it again. It has about 4000 miles and I am creating a list of things to do or to check on to prepare it for next season.
Here is what I have...
Electronic shock repair (Again...)
Hyfax replacement
Wear Rod replacement
Wheel replacement (Again...)
All 4 drive line bearings (Chaincase and PTO side)
Steering bushing replacement/service (Its way too tight)
Oil change
I also apppearantly need to check the Y pipes and donut gaskets
any other common issues that need service to help ensure a trouble free year???

I would go over both clutches, the speedo bearing and the drive shaft. I have heard that they have been failing as of late. Check the radiatior for broken mounting tabs as well.

The chaincase side bearings don't fail. I would open up the chaincase cover and check condition of gears and chain. I plan on pulling the drive axle and not only replacing the clutch side bearing, I'm going to have the shaft magnafluxed to check for cracks. These have been going for some people. I've got some of Allens Oilight bushings that will be going in the front end. Rear EC got Bruces attention last year. Front Soki's are this year. Ice scratchers from Hartman are going on. The plowed roads killed me last week around the Forks area after the rian we had.

I'm running the accessory heat exchanger and it didn't make a difference in those conditions. My other Apex that my wife drives had the same issues at the same time and that sled doesn't have the extra exchanger. Things will probably be better over there this week.
Houlton and points North to include Canada were beautiful this weekend. 300 miles on Saturday, I recommend checking it out. Be careful on the border trail though, we almost had a pile up there. Deceptively smooth, till you get further into the trail. Groomer hadnt been there in awhile. Plenty of 100+ mph runs though to be had. Stil a TON of snow up there.

This is my first year with a 4-sroke so as long as this thred is up I'm wondering what main. I should do before I store it for the summer? I have 650 miles on is all do to no snow so I'm thinking there is not much I have to do. Also what are you doing before putting them to rest (fogging , drain fuel)?

Wash/wax and remove key is all I'll be doing.
