apex top end speed

Charged RTX Both sleds do not have picks, if you want a good top end with these sleds, you have to run the tracks real loose. I would say 2-2 1/2" of gap between sliders and track. Thats just sag when lifting the sled. Not advised if runing picks. The 03 has aaen roller 54-46 helix and Freddies filters. It also has the stock cone track`it is one of the best tracks for the railbed riding we do.I know a lot riders will disagree about the track.ok i have said enough about the 03 afterall this is the Apex site. The 06 gt is the best sled for all around riding i have ever had THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT...

Hey red you are 100% right about that 1" button track being fast,as even with a studded sled on my 03 w/freddies filters and a team roller oh ya and a zr skid i saw 133 117 gps on ice/snow,so if your new gt has seen 130 speedo was you on the rr bed up north or a lake, cause thats so far this year at least here in maine, that is the fastest speedometer reading i have seen and yes i have heard of some of the 03s running 140 dresmeter on bare ice no studs.

Hey x-ape I was thinking about heading up to your area this weekend. Do you have any good places to race and test. I have some new toys I want to test out.

Up at coleman, big diamond is safe. little diamond was partially plowed on the drag strip. I hear they just got 4" and it will snow everyday so riding will be good. I'm going to be there saturday.

top end speed

just came back from running my RXWarrior on lake Minocqua,I've had it at 100 mph before with 3/4 throttle and always felt it should go 125+,I can't say that I'm dissappointed, but I won't tell any non yammie users.
I had a gps on my sled, perfect conditions,20 degrees, frozen lake, hard packed with snow, got 118mph on speedo.stopped at a bar.and checked the top speed recorded by gps:98.5mph!! oh well it still was fast.maybe the wind has a factor in it.I'll try again next trip. :yam: :4STroke:

Er clocked at 195 Km's or approx 122mph reving 10600 with 600 miles on it. Real life probably around 115 mph. Plenty for me

195km is more like 120mph than 122mph, and actual is more like 104-106mph than 115mph .... but yes that is quick enough.
