I have tunnel flairs on my sidewinder and they work fantastic. My 2011 Apex covers my backside with snow from the base of my helmet down, due to the vortices created at high speed. My gear is of course water proof but it would nice to not have to deal with it a stops. I'm thinking of trying to adapt sidewinder flairs somehow. Thoughts?

What length is the apex?

I was just going to ask the same as this has never happened to me on my XTX or even 08 LTX.

It happens when going all out on long wide sweeping trails. I am 6’3” so maybe I’m creating the air turbulence, but flairs do work.

Good point as I'm no way as tall as you (5'10") but do believe a shorter track will factor into this. I used to get snow dust on the back of my jacket when riding the the 03 RX-1 until I extended it to 136".

Exactly. Same here. New Apex was supposed address that base on marketing hype but no way. If I want to put put along I would ride a 500cc

my xtx's have never done it unless i was in 3'+ of powder howling along and then i would get a bit on the rear of the seat. the 05 rx war, i went in the house once after a powder ride with 3" stuck to my helmet and coat on the back after my brother put the apex flap on it. i do not remeber it doing it with the stock flap.
