Apex vs Fusion 900

Was on the lake this weekend when I came across a 900 fusion. He was moving pretty darn fast and had slowed down some and I flew by him. I slowed up and waited for him, he pulled alongside me at about 70 or so. We both got on it. He had a little bit of a jump (I think due to hitting the throttle at different times). The sleds stayed even distance for a bit and then (this is where it gets good) the Apex starts to pull away. Slowly but surely!

I do not know about you guys, but I love my APEX!

Sounds good to me ! A buddy of mine has a Fusion 900 and he currently gets me top end on my 800 Rev. I keep thinking do I want the Apex for the speed, or do I want the Phazer for the suspension and handling. Hmmnnn, still can't make up my mind.....

Last Sunday DEVILS CREEK...................CO PILOT & Myself while cruising down the creek came up onto 2 Rev's & a 900 Fusion. We pulled up beside him and burped the throttle and couple of times to get his attention, we then ALL slowed down to a 30mph roll and I let them call it. They got about 1 1/2 lenghts on me before WE SMOKED ALL OF THEM, we had at least 10 lenghts in about 6 seconds and I think they had enough and backed off as we we made a curve they were WAY WAY WAY BACK.


Other than another ATTAK we have not been beat yet , in all fairness we still haven't seen a 1000 Mach Z........STILL LOOKING

It drives me nuts when someone says" you should be faster,you got a 1000".For the millionth time, comparing 2 stroke cc's and 4 stroke cc's is apples and oranges.Like the above post, it's about HP.The real story behind the Yammy 4 strokes is ,(using the 1:75),that they shouldn't technically beat any 2 stroke 700 cc's and up. The fact is they do.Even giving the Mach Z 1000 a good run.That's why in motorcross it's excepted to race 450 4 stroke against a 250 2 stroke.

king44 this was exactly my point, Yamaha has done an exceptional job making these sleds as quick as they are. Bigboy posted he got beat by an 800 powertec and then posts that the apex should beat the fusion because of more displacement. This doesn't make any sense.
With the apex it is faster than the 900 but this is an exception to the rule that 2 strokes produce more power per cc of displacement than 4 strokes.

It's not about brand loyalty or anything but it's simply amazing how fast these sleds are when compared to other similarly displaced 2 strokes.

No, I'm not. I was kind of refering to a statement that someone told me a while back. I can't stand hearing it. Man you guys are sensitive on here about the 4 stroke vs. 2 str. thing. god your RTX must be fast......... so. I was stating a point/fact earlier about getting beat. What is the big deal? I GOT F-ING BEAT! Wow, you beat him EVERYTIME. Good for ya, I'm happy. I don't have a RTX. I have an Attack. :ORC

BTW your attack has the same motor as well as lower gearing than my RTX.

Sorry if you think there is any. I'm not trying to be a prick. I know what you meant about the other post. I also posted that my buddy said something about the 100cc thing in another, that's all. It seems that since I posted my first thread that it has been sensitive. Maybe rightfully so. Hey, Yamaha has been pullin up hind titty for a while now and will probably move into #2 pretty soon. BTW, same motor, different/longer track/weight....
