Asphalt Results 2004

Meet up with SRXMAGIC on Friday at Lebanon Valley Dragway for a test-n-tune session. This test session turned into a test and break session/bad luck session…

I had issues with the track officials, and magic had issues with a bottom gear going to #$%&* on him.

But, we had a good time, and got all the drag racin’ gremlins out for the season (I/WE HOPE!!!) So, here are the best runs of the day…

Magic: 60ft - 1.404; 1/8 – 6.025 @ 113.26; ¼ - 9.615 @ 132.97
Buster696: 60ft – 1.523; 1/8 – 6.3 @ 110.56; ¼ - 9.974 @ 130.18 (yep, just busted my 9-second hymen)

Also, got some pics taken by Magic’s friend (Rob) of us racing, and a couple of Jason Dunigan’s Sleds. (that rev is a piece of art!!!)

Magic is at the track today to see the ‘Quick 16’ at LVD and should be able to post a report either later today or tomorrow.

Thanks,

Man, what a night! PRO BIKE/SLED WINNER!!!!!!!!!
All sled final! The sled guys are so cool at this track, and I am glad to be racing with them. We help each other out, and try to get sleds to the finals. Well, it worked!

5/15/04 - Wisconsin International Raceway - 69 degrees w/ 38% humidity, changing to 42 degrees w/ 90% humidity. Sunny, with track temp around 98 degrees.

1st time run - Hooked hard, (Mr sleds setup, with no adjustments)
1.485 60ft. - 6.862 1/8 mile @ 95.741mph - 11.118 1/4 mile @ 112.280mph

2nd time run - spun after the 60 footer
1.484 60ft. - 6.903 1/8 mile @ 95.044mph - 11.208 1/4 mile @ 110.641mph

1st round - took out one of the best Pro Bikes. I dialed an 11.15, but hit the brakes at the end, cause he wasn't coming, and I didn't want to break out.
1.497 60ft. - 6.925 1/8 mile @ 95.314mph - 11.213 1/4 mile @ 107.262mph

2nd round - paired up with a sled, and this was the closest race of the night.
1.509 60ft. - 6.923 1/8 mile @ 95.352mph - 11.205 1/4 mile @ 111.038mph

3rd round - Matched with a Pro Bike, and he broke on the line. I didn't see him coming, so I hit the brakes again.
1.476 60ft. - 6.879 1/8 mile @ 95.325mph - 11.286 1/4 mile @ 101.701mph

4th round - got the bye, WOO HOO!!!!!!
1.488 60ft. - 6.902 1/8 mile @ 95.020mph - 11.198 1/4 mile @ 111.109mph

5th, and final round - Raced the fastest sled at the track, and he redlighted. Heard him coming, and let off, not knowing he redlighted.
1.485 60ft. - 6.916 1/8 mile @ 94.751mph - 11.222 1/4 mile @ 110.928mph (I almost died when I got my timeslip.)

Thanks, goes to everyone involved, I can't thank you guys enough! :D

Hey guys, what are you using for your skid frame on asphalt, yamaha factory one or after market? Probably most of you are pretty serious and using the aftermarket ones as they would be much better but I'm just playing around this year and don't want to go crazy right off the bat! And what type of quick disconnects are you using, hydrolic couplers or did you get them from Bender or something? Also, temp gauge, I don't think you can just remove the factory sensor and plug the aftermarket gauge one in as the elctronics monitors temp and will shut the motor down if too hot, so question is, did you guys just use a T in one of the cooling lines or what?
