I'd say you've got it figured pretty good.

I would had that the Attak would be more stable at high speed due to the longer track. At least that's what I noticed riding my Warrior...

I am having a similar dilema but can't decide between the Attak or the Apex RTX or GT. Coming off a Warrior I realize the added benefits of the longer skid and would prefer to stay that route, however I think the two Apex's simply look better with their color, graphic packages and shocks. Life would be a little easier if you could get and Attak GT or RTX :ORC
The wind protection the Attack has over the Apex models is substantial. The windscreens on the Apex models are for looks only. If it is looks your after, you may consider adding the Apex windshiled to your Attack...BBY

It's more than the windshiled Matt. It's the colors and shock packages you have with the Apex's.BlueByYou2000 said:The wind protection the Attack has over the Apex models is substantial. Well get creative and change the graphics...LOL
A question I've seen posed a few times but I don't think answered yet is whether the Attak has the heavier rear spring ala the RTX. Since the Attak is classed with the "rough trail" as opposed to the "trail performance", that seems logical, but did anyone specifically ask a tech at one of the shows?
Apex GT
Oh come on now 150 Fuelie, you know that you want an APEX GT!!! Get after it and lock it up!!!!

I heard the new 136 handles like a 121.
Maybe like a old 121, but not like the 06 121's...BBY

Sodbuster,
The Attack and the RTX had very similar rear skid characteristics with the nod going to the Attack for just a bit better "bump soaking" ability.
While we didn't get nitty gritty, engineering spec, spring rate and angle type detail, we were told that the 121 and 136 skids were in fact different.
In answer to your original post, I'd say your assement is right on the money. If I were buying the sled for your described conditions I would go with the Attak.

Thanks guys. I was leaning towards the Attak, and I think you helped make up my mind.
Steve, when I lived in Beer Town in the early 90's, we had friends on Eagle Spring that we visited a lot and I did some woodie hunting down your way on Rainbow. Nice area in your parts.
