the 2/4/2 pattern works really well....
1.450s ....I don't like any taller, you will bend them.
9/16" penetration with Woodys 1.450'' on a 1.25'' Camso rip 2.
I would measure again. 1.575 woodys are 9/16th penetration on a 1.25 track. 1.450s are less obviously

Nice catch! Looks like somebody read the Woody's Penetration chart.

Not a fan of woodys templates, they are like a cardboard and dont last at all.....the one I got is plastic will last forever. Thanks for the suggestion I will stick with 1.450 stud length as you recommended
I went with the Woodies template since i could not find the studboy template you suggested in Canada and to ship from the US was crazy
Yeah they wanted a ton for shipping even to me in NY.....worse up north for sure.

I measured mine brand new, no wear obviously and got 9/16 reveal to tip. Not sure what the companies say but this was my actual measurement.

You can do any pattern you like... I recommend getting the C.B. performance 1/8" template to build a custom pattern...works great..

So are your studs 1.450 to get 9/16 penetration?I measured mine brand new, no wear obviously and got 9/16 reveal to tip. Not sure what the companies say but this was my actual measurement.

I'd go at least 1.575s which are 1.98 overall length. A 1 1/4 track should be very close to 1 1/2 belt to top of lug if I'm not mistaken.

Then you have 1.575 studs and not 1.450s. The 1.450s are only 1.7 installed height.

Each package of woody's studs said 1.450'' on them. I never would go 1.575, too long for my liking. Then you have 1.575 studs and not 1.450s. The 1.450s are only 1.7 installed height.

lol....each package of woodys studs said 1.450 on them.
Either mislabeled, or your measurement is off. Im not trying to start #*$&@ or anything, I just installed alot of studs the last few seasons, and measured them all so I know what the penetration is. I actually run the extreme max studs in my sleds, I seem to always find them dirt cheap. A 1.62 extreme max is 1.92overall length and just over 1/2 penetration.A 1.575 woodys is 1.98 overall length, so 9/16th. A 1.450 is 1.852 over all lenth, so just under 1/2 inch.
I just want people to have the correct information when studding. The manufacturers numbers dont seem to make too much sense. They are pretty much arbitrary numbers.

I did provide pics, and I have only been measuring stuff for over 45 yrs, and messing with studs for maybe 30 yrs now...lol
No worries, I just know I like my 9/16" penetration on my Rip2. It works well, and by far the most penetration Ive ever run....Now I do crank mine down tight, and pull them in bigtime....Im sure I could have found a few that are ontop of the silent(bumps) and gotten a lesser measurement, but on average, with the straight edge as show in pics, this was how mine ended up...it works great!
Agree i dont go by manufacturers info much either, which is why I measured the reveal, I had ran 1" tracks my entire life with 1.175s and thought those worked well, but this is alot more reveal.
Im about as anal as they come when it comes to sleds and providing best info I can, take a peak thru my build thread...LOL

Dan, your lugs (the top of them) look a little chewed up in the pictures? Is it just the pictures?? It almost looked like you cut the lugs down...?? Maybe it’s just the lighting?
