Any input on good batteries for 2015 Viper LTX? Current one is subpar and doesn't have the cold cranking amps needed. Despite keeping it on tender, it is a bear to start first time of the day. Usually is fine after riding for awhile and restarting, but still may take a couple attempts. Just looking for experienced suggestions on what are good options for a better battery. Thanks in advance.

The Yuasa brand is not a bad choice.
I have been running Motocross Platinum batteries from Batterymart .com in all my sleds in recent years including my Apex and SR Viper with very good luck and they are manufactured by Yuasa in USA.

I have very good experience with the Yuasa batteries on my Viper and Sidewinder. One of them lasted almost 10 years (new owner didn't trickle charge it). Swapped to anti-gravity to save weight, not a good choice at -30°C.

After getting 2 years out of an Interstate, I just bought a YUASA off Amazon. It was cheaper than what the dealerships could sell it for. If you do go this route, you will need to add acid, wait 2 hours, and then charge it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Here is the link for the YUASA battery I bought. FYI, It arrived in 2 days, not 5 like the listing said.

Thanks for the responses. I see there's quite a variation in prices for the variety of batteries out there. Hard to justify paying over $100 more for one of the more expensive ones, unless it's lasting years longer?
"If you do go this route, you will need to add acid, " srx700, did you buy the acid separately or did it come with the battery?

It comes with the battery in separate containers. They can’t ship batteries that are already filled. I bought a cheaper one from Amazon and it only lasted 2 years, went back to YUASA.

Just called local dealer. Yuasa is $160 (filled and ready to go.) Ugh. Batteries plus has the following:

The Yuasa Batteries Plus had was $204. Must've been a more deluxe model.

Thoughts on the other Extreme or Duracell in links above?

Bought my YUASA on EBay in December for 125.93

I had a DieHard battery in mine that lasted 5 years. Battery had a date of 21'. I don't remember when I first replaced the Battery, if I was to guess it was 22. I got a orilleys super start for the time being.
