Is there an option for a larger CCA battery that fits our sidewinders? Sled started good this weekend in -11 temps but I like the confidence in the larger CCA battery I have in the Apex. I know about the EarthX but not willing to pay that much. Anything else?

Yuasa GYZ20H, not much more, but supposed to be a better battery.

I just installed the earthX ETZ 14C. Wow what am major difference. So much lighter and smaller, also the voltage seems to be higher as its reporting 14.7 volts on the dash. These things are really nice

I think my stock battery is on the way out , it's only 12.2-12.3 volts without engine running. It should be high 12s

Is that without engine running, because mine is 14.7 with it running

The average with engine running is 14.7, and it goes up to 14.9. When off its at 13.2

If you get that reading after a couple days sitting without the engine charging the battery, that's a good reading of 13.2 volts

I just installed it this morning so I will have to check and update in a couple days.

These Lithium batteries if they work as advertised are really nice, super light and small

I just looked on their website and they are not cheap, but if they last up to eight years, then overall, they will be cheaper. I tend to purchase new batteries every 2-3. I do not have access to a battery tender all year round.

If you look at the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) its very good. Along with the additional benefits of weight, CCA, low/high protection its fantastic. Every year I have to replace both my batteries in my boat which is like 400. If this works out well in the sled I am going to get these for everything.

No. These are made for the extreme cold there are some other lithium that you have to try to start a couple times to get to crank over. This is what I was told by EarthX but havent used it yet
