Bent my front end last year in late season conditions. Hit a small but sharp rock on the edge of the trail. Feed back to the bars was not that bad, I was surprised when I stopped and had a look. Front shock spring now touching the back part of the A-arm. Will the A-arm/arms likely be bent or just the sub frame? Kit recommendations
Thanks in advance.

If you ride alot of trails, consider the JRE Trail King package.

I bent 2 subframes, second time was similar. Drove right over a rock just off trail. That time I only bent the subframe. Didn't see the point in spending even more for arm kit. But I sure like that Skinz set up. I'm keen to hear what others who try it think.

Are you sure about that...?Blu2U2 said:Very good question.... A poll would be nice to see!
Maybe if the poll is limited to riders that spent at least ten hours on every front end kit...?
Otherwise - how could you compare them...?

That is what I mean. A poll about which paintjob everybody likes is about the only thing that would not be misleading.
At this time, a poll about the performance of each kit will be nothing but speculation...

Great point Alatalo! A poll would be useless at this point maybe next year.
front end
the paint on my 42" concept front end is nice but I dont have the others to compare it to. Ill let everybody know how much I like it after I log on 1000mi on it.

Has ANYBODY in the world ridden both kits?
For me the best thing for handling was when I pushed the stock 121 skid back 3.5 inches and turned it into a 128". That helps more than any of the front kits out there. Unbelivable how much better the skid works and all you have to do make a new rear mount. Yamaha went to a 128 on the Apex and they should do it on the Nytro as well but dont make longer rails, now the aproch angle is in line with the other mfgs. and rider position over the front tourqe arm as well. Ya the front needs work also but for the money to me this is the best thing you can do. It also picks up about 3-4 mph and eliminates the slide ware up there.

Can you show pics of what you did? Did you put extensions AND relocate your rear suspension?

To say it helps more than any front end kit is a pretty bold statement, especially being that it's a fact you have not tested them all. It may make improvements in areas but it will also have side effects like more ski pressure. I'm not against small set backs to help approach angle but 3.5" changes your weight distribution quite a bit in the opposite direction as the others.

In the wide front end kits, no. It's not going to be apples to apples for me but I did have a z broz front end last year on my MTX and will be testing the Skinz on my shorty in the next couple weeks.
No extensions, just move the stock skid back. And no I havent tested all the front end kits but I think only one addresses the root problem of the sled and that being its wheel base is to short all around. If I see an after market front that pushes the a-arms forward 2.5 inches and deals with all that changes when doing that like scrub, bumpsteer caster camber and so on, "sign me up" I just havn't seen it yet. To me the kit should consist of more than just a-arms and better bushings, like a new steering crank, draglink and spindle. my mod can be done in one night for about 40 bucks and how ever much you want to spend on a track, I paid $250. and yes it dose affect the balance of the sled it makes it more stable, and with very little adjustments in weight transfer, you wont even notice the extra lenght, One because you only put one more lug on the ground and at 2.52 track pitch you hardly notice it, two you are still using a 121 rail. IMO' I'd rather do this than spend 900.00 on an incomplete front end kit.
