Sometime this summer or fall gonna have my track replaced with either a ice storm 150 or a prestudded talon track. Any opinions on changing gearing or leave it alone ? Not to concerned about top end as long as it pulls hard to 90 mph, doing 100 mph now at times. Also being that I’m at 4,000 miles what bearings or anything else that should be replaced while it’s apart.

I would be inclined to leave the gearing alone. Changing gears especially when you have to pay for a new chain can get costly. Now in saying this I’m assuming that you are primarily trail riding and are increasing the track lug height to get a little bit better acceleration coming out of the corners and better overall performance. Sounds like a good upgrade. If on the other hand you are increasing lug height because you find that you do a lot of off trail riding then I would lean towards gearing down but then I would also suggest that the taller 1.75” Backcountry would be the better track. I love my Backcountry X track.

As for the bearings, at 4000 miles I would definitely replace the bearings on the rear axle and I would give strong consideration to replacing all of the bearings in the rear skid. Check the drive axle bearings as well. They are not that expensive and easy to do while you have it all apart. Check the hyfax wear as well. It’s so much easier to change them while the suspension is out. - PeeWee

No off trail, just looking for better grip down low. This sled just spins down low and has so little transfer even with a center spring change. As far as bearings probably just have the dealer replace all of them while it’s apart to be safe
