Surprisingly, this low mileage DMC top gear has some play it in.
And lastly, it there a set amount of clearance between new chain & tensioner? When I run the adjuster in until its finger tight and then back it out one and a half turns it's still basically on top of the chain. Where is my old chain had clearance between itself and the tensioner

tighten bolt by hand till snug, then back out the 1-1.5 turns, if you have roller or skate they always ride on chain, oil stops the wear.

The only time I use the 8JP belt is on warmer days when trying to find some quick RPM. The 8JP will run a couple hundred RPM higher than the 825
The 825 grabs better and is less "dusty"

I'll scope things out. I might have to use the XS belt for tuning, as I may run out of adjustably with qay70's. Bigger tunes will put me at 76/77g +/-.The only time I use the 8JP belt is on warmer days when trying to find some quick RPM. The 8JP will run a couple hundred RPM higher than the 825
