BOUNTYHUNTERS NEW RIDE

Hey Lar, great rebuild, checked turbo. Are those brass fittings straight thread or tapered. Seated like they are, I would say straight. If they are straight, they should have a gasket (copper-stainless) under them to seal properly. The area, under the fitting, on the turbo, will have a machined flat surface just for this purpose. Also if they are a taper fit (plumbing fitting) do not tighten them to much as you can distort them or break them. It might not be the turbo threads themselves but the fitting, try another one.

Well GOOD BYE Gold and HELLO YELLOW, Lots and lots of sanding as always and then the easy part spraying the Yellow...AGAIN as they were Yellow Once...lol

And finally got too powder coat the Oil tank Yellow to match the intercooler

looking good Larry.....never really cared for the gold on it but it is going to be hot now. This one might take the place of your anniversary build as my favorite project you have done.

Yeah...I never really liked that gold either Brian, I Loved my Black and Gold SRX but I could never find the right Color Gold for this sled. There some Pretty Sweet Black & Yellow Yammies out there already but this one will look a lot better this way than the other way.

Did you notice.....JUST a Pinched Return Oil Line causing total Kayos, all the times I put it back together it was fine and this one time I wasn't soooooo lucky. Was a REAL STUPID set up anyways, Jeff took care of that quick and there are lots of other small things about that KIT we are changing.

I think my 08 Anniversary Apex will be my all time Favorite Ride, should have kept it and put on a SC, id probably still have it :sled2:

Wheeled her outside and turned her over, she fired right up and we let her get to temp. The two fault codes were still there but we were sure the second we spin the track we would loose one and after we hooded back up the tors the second one would vanish as well.

Let her run for a while and put a small load on her....NO LEAKS ANYWHERE's on that turbo housing, just warm/hott air out the exhaust and NOTHING coming out the turbo intake. Once we spun the track and hooked up the tors......BINGO.....ALL CODES Left Dodge. Time to bring her back in and mount the charge tube and finish assembling her:Rockon:
