Yeah ordering the '21 gets it in your garage what...September? Still warm enough to wrench on it.

But yeah that 2020 should satisfy you coming from the Apex.
I for one have only ridden 1 rider forward sled in my life. That was a friends Nytro. And it was only a little short ride.
I'm sure the SE is going to be plenty sufficient for me.
And I MUCH prefer the 2021 SE paint scheme to the LE!

I have been looking to upgrade from my 2001 SRX. Silly question. I know it depends on how hard you squeeze the throttle and hold it but what kinda milage can on get trail riding with the sidewinder? I ride 90% trail. My choice is Viper or Winder. Coming from SRX I dont want to make the wrong choice.
Thanks Guys

I can’t answer the mileage question since I don’t have a sidewinder yet but engine-wise it would feel like a downgrade going to a viper from an SRX. My 2001 SRX was very comparable to my Apex in the engine performance category. Of course in any other way (bump compliance, comfort, etc) the either will be miles ahead of the SRX.

I’ve got a’17 SE and have no complaints. Like above the shocks aren’t bad. Did the same thing your doin except I kept my ‘06 Apex as a backup :)

Are you using the factory rear shocks? How are they? I’m not worried about the fox fronts at all.

The SE fronts are very respectable shocks. 10k on mine. Cannondale rebuilds them every year. I’ve been saying since 17 the SE shocks are decent! I ride early when they are flat I feel zero bumps! I’m back by 2-3 with a Pilsner at the cabin. The guys with fancy shocks are out beating the sleds on 2 footers.

I have no concern about the front shocks on the SE at all. How are the factory rears on the SE? Are they OK?

I will be ordering a SE
I had my shocks rebuild and revalved bu Cannondale and the sled was amazing

I see about 12. If I'm riding hard, groomed trails, maybe 14mpg.

I'm pretty happy with my leftover 2018 SE. I would have loved a 2019 SRX, but the cost difference was going to be about $4,000.

I've been slowly making it my own. A 4th wheel kit this summer, shock revalve, and a MTX seat will put the sled right where I want it.

10k on mine. I rebuild them every year. I weigh 220 with full gear on. I have no complaints. I slow down when things get rough. I’m not a aggressive rider in rough stuff. It takes 1 foot chop easy. What I find is the adjustable shocks end up being adjusted once and then stay in that setting. Most that have them set them and leave em.

Yes I’m looking for gas at 100 miles but I’ve done 130

I was hesitant too coming from my beloved 2006 Attak. Paid $14.499 studded for my 2017 LTX LE. Never been on a sled even close in comfort or power. My only advice is by the best shock package you can afford, even if it means snow checking a model that comes in late in the year. You won't regret getting the best offered
The stock shocks on the SE are decent; I ran my Sidewinder 1,000 miles before getting QS3R's for the front, and then another 1,000 before getting the QS3R for the rear. As good as the SE shocks are, the QS3R's are night and day different. If you buy the fancy LE with the adjustment on the handlebars, the QS3's are not the same quality as the QS3R's. I am not a shock guy, but putting my sled side by side with my buddy's LE, it was obvious that my QS3R's had a larger diameter shaft. I think the components are probably a little more "heavy duty" in the QS3R shocks, but I would ask someone like Cannondale to be sure. Bottom line is that good shocks make all the difference in the world in your ride and your handling. I agree, get the best you can afford.
