Buying used SRX

just put on over 200 miles on my new 2020 stx gt today...in the Rangeley Maine and New Hampshire area..Yamaha got it right...so far. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!! I guarantee this, you will not be able to pin this machine..scary fast, handles like its on rails.

You may need to try out some county trails. Some of those trails are faster then what your Stx gt can throw at them!

That I promise you!

Nice having a sled that demands respect powerwise huh?

yes it gets my attention when I'm doing 80 and its only at half throttle...
Motor Head...my hats off to you dude..I ride trail conditions...80 on the lake...I'm conservative on the trails..

Go up to N. Aroostook county...like Motorhead said...you’ll be able to peg it and hold it for a bit too. Even us Tuned guys can pin it...and if you think that the stock Winders are fast, just try a tuned Winder. You’ll be blown away by the thrust!

On a tuned sled at that speed I'm not running much more than 1/4 throttle!
These sleds rock!

Most importantly Joe, enjoy your new sled, learn to respect it’s smooooth power and stay within your comfort zone with speed.
That smooth power is deceptive and unlike any other sled that I have owned, that speedo is pretty close to accurate speed under 100.

Thanks Motorhead, I am enjoying the new sled, it feels totally confident going into a corner...no more wondering when the sled is going to turn like my other sled...it's a nice feeling. Spent the last 3 days just riding and left Rangeley around noon...hadn't been home in a week, seriously. If the snow holds then next weekend up to Millinocket with a buddy who has a camp up there...so nice to move around. From Rangeley I went to Pittsburg, those trails were ruined after the weekend. I can't believe there could be a better sled than this one...total confidence, but you're right..the power is deceptive and find myself doing reality checks.

you are 100% right about boosted sled and the County. I will be back to Portage Lake this weekend. when my sled was stock it felt smooth and somewhat fast after some work from Turbo dynamics and some clutching my Winder still feels smooth at lower speeds but there is a point when pushing the throttle it turns into a beast compared to stock. the thing is freaky fast on some of the trails in the County. i let my girlfriend ride it and after about 15 miles and a few very brief times she pushed the throttle into beast mode she had enough, i asked what she thought and her words were i am an #*$&@ for what i did to it and the sled was stupid fast.

I can't believe the winder could get faster and smoother..wow...was wondering what that whole "tuned" meant.
Over the weekend while on the trails around Rumford ME. my wife wanted to try the sled, she was quickly overwhelmed...I think a 600 ACE Renegade better suits her riding style.
Looks like the season is coming to a quick close.

It did not get any smoother with tune, just stayed as smooth as stock at partial throttle until you get to the sweet spot in the throttle then it hits like a truck, huge difference from stock on how hard it pulls and how fast it accelerates.

thanks for that info on the tune...I think I'll keep mine stock for a while longer, the pull at stock is about all I can handle.
bringing the sled in tomorrow for the 500 mile service...hopefully there is another ride in before it ends.

the tuned sidewinder is like a bad addiction, too much of a good thing. Joe there is nothing at all wrong with your Sidewinder stock, enjoy the ride and have fun!!!! Your still riding a rocket!!!
