Hello fellow Phazerites!......I'm looking to replace my stock 1" Hack-Saw track to the 1.5" Freeride. I'm running the stock 121" skid. I see several people using this and I wondered what you all thought. I want to stud as well with a 96 stud pattern. I'm running in the northeast so I have hills, fields, woods and everything in between. Any body using this set up can you let me know how you like it? Thanks in advance!

Works great! One of the best things you can do for the sled IMHO.

I upgraded to the Free ride last year. Or maybe it was the year before? Hah. Anyway, as Motoman said, I believe it is the best thing you could do for this sled. The extra traction almost makes it feel like a new sled.

Buy it it is the single best improvment I got mine from Rob @ CB Performance parts they are great and got a good deal on it

I am in the middle on this one.I love the traction but I kind of miss the old track when I want to slide the backend out in a corner.Unless ice its almost impossible with Freeride.

yea i kinda agree but if your braking trail the stock trail is just about worthless

How much are these freeride tracks going for? i am offten finding myself breaking train in a ditch on the way to the cottage or breaking trail because im helping out with making the trails.

You will defenetly need skis with this track. I got Slydogs with 6" Studboy carbides and the 1.5 Freeride. Different sled. Powder is no problem and the front end doesn't dive nearly as much.

Yeah I found that out too. After I changed the track I had a lot more traction and it started pushing the skis a lot worse in the corners. I switched to C & A pro skis and that issue went away. Then the handling was much more even between front and back. As far as turning, braking and acceleration went.

Thanks for all the feedback! I just placed the order today (with studs and double backers) and think I've made a good choice! See you on the trails......or should I say?....."Pass you on the trails"!!
