Can Nytro hang with a Rev in the rough stuff?

Ask the member of the board here Mark. Send him a PM and ask him if they nytros can hang with the Revs.

Ability counts for alot, but I was almost always faster than a buddy who rides with us, he rides a 800xp adrenaline. I was on a fx nytro std. We swapped back and forth a few times. The Nytro when set up is hard to beat. I will say that the std skid is too soft. The rtx shock package/ valving is alot better if you like the bumps.

rev vs. nytro

I've owned a few revs - all X packages, and have had a chance to take a few rides on Nytros in the some rough stuff. Even with the sc4's setup with custom valving - I still don't think they handle the bumps as good as the Nytro. It feels alot like a rev but more refined and stable. I've had a chance to ride the majority of the 09's and I thought the RTX's were really was the best bump sled. I ordered a RTX SE.

I have ridden several times with Reaper and his brother. Reaper has a Nytro and his brother has a Rev. Those two are always out in front of the rest of us, and always neck in neck. I don't see one sled being faster or able to handle the bumps better than the other.

I also agree with the above post that the rider determines which sled is first, not the manufacturer.

dave, you should go to mcguires and buy a brand new one, you know you want to. just do it, its only money.

i wouldn't give ten cents for an older rev, the xp, those are a nice sled. needs a better skid though.

i love the nitro, motor, front end is ok, needs more suspenion, more seat, and more gas tank

i will buy a wrecked one as soon as i can get one.

Thanks Scott, I'll be happy to sell him one. Dave, I will even throw in a new hat!!!!
Jon

Thanks jon thats a start of a good deal i guess we`ll see I dont know what i want to do yet just tossing it around I have to see how the apex goes now to with all the updates done finally and new ski`s.

I am goint to yamaha motor to check them out now

Scott i will give u a call hope all is well Did u sell the House?

I think the Rev and the Nytro are neck and neck on the trail with equal riding skills. I think the Nytro steers a little harder, but that can be taken up with rear suspension adjustments. The Nytro will destroy the Rev out of the hole (also the Apex) - 5 to 7 lengths at the holeshot - but both have about the same top speed. Full wet, both end up weighing about the same, all the other stuff you read about weight is a bunch of crap. We have ridden both before making the decision, we bought the Nytro. We also have an Apex ER, the Apex will always win the lake race or 1/8 mile or more, the Nytro wins the shorter ones - every time. We haven't found a stock sled that can take the Nytro for less than 1/8 mile, most can't catch it within 1/4 mile regardless of cc's. Hope this helps. Wig

The Nytro can really fly throug the trail junk once setup right. I've ran some real bumpty trails and no one could keep up and the guy who tried to stat with with crashed his sled in the process... good thing it was only a Cat...

Hey John, how come I never got a hat?? :drink:

For sure, come on up and try one out. We demo a handfull of sleds every year.

nb nytro
I knew you would be back. Ive got one waiting for ya. By the way, I think I have a line on a black rtx for ya that isnt spoken for yet, Let ya know for sure about the middle of next week.

It takes more time and $ to make a 'set up' FX NytroRTX beat a 'set up' Rev through the rough....

Beating a Rev in the rough can be done....but then there is still a 'set up' XP up there.. and .. well .. lets just wait for something to break on that XP. A 'set up' FX NyrtoRTX is on par with a 100% stock (but suspension tuned) XP.
