Thanks I will order one to try. The ATV trailer is one-place and can reach. The sled trailer is a two-place hybrid. I wonder if an adhesive would work if I get the surface super clean.

This is a good thread to ask these newbie questions
Difference between silicone w/ teflon spray and dry lubricant spray? Spray on clutches/sled with......??? spray. OK for belt? (I like DuPont products)
I plan on storing sled in the air on lift...problem with that?

(I leave the top trailer vents half open, if I leave it fully open everything in the trailers get wet w/ rain splashing)

I use this stuff


Spray on everything, clutches, belt, hoses, wiring, controls, suspension, exhaust and obviously all exposed aluminum.
Caution, this is for long term storage, you can’t spray it on your belt/clutches and drive the next day or even week. It’s long term storage protection or seasonal. It repels moisture. I’ve been using this since 1992 with zero issues and my stuff always looks new. My classic car rims are bare aluminum and the gas tank bare steel, neither have any sign of rust or corrosion. The car is stored in cold storage on concrete through the worst humidity seasons.

After chasing the corrosion issues for many years I do two things that work after cleaning the sled at the end of the season:

# 1 - I take the clutches off the sled, clean them, bag them, and store them.
# 2 - I spray the entire under hood and skid frame with lemon pledge furniture polish. When it dries it leaves a wax film on everything that protects the surfaces.

In the fall, I service the clutches and reinstall them. Any residue left underhood from the pledge burns off on the first ride.

For many years at the end of the season, I pop the clutches off and store them in big plastic bags. I inspect and clean the clutches in the fall before I put them back on. Another corrosion preventative measure is to clean everything under the hood and skid frame then spray everything down with lemon pledge furniture polish. When it dries it leaves a protective coating on everything that will burn off/wear off without a problem when run the sled in the fall.

Look for oxidation, cracks or anything that looks unusual. Check your rollers! I can't say this enough....
