I've always wondered why we didn't have more carbon fiber options. I think the price is a bit high and I don't really care for the looks of the wheels or the A-arms. I think rear skid arms would be cool, but ridiculously expensive.

What kind of warranty does it carry?

Is this rubber I see on the wheels?

Maybe that will solve the wheel issue...But it's very expensive!!

Ya that's worth it...... NOT!!!

Looks like some good products ;)! , But if I'm spending that much coin on my sled it's not gonna be for wheels & a-arms...

there isnt that much carbin fiber products becaue its still kinda new and expesive but stronger and light than aluminum.

its a urethane outter band wich i think along with the stronger carbin fiber will stop the wheels from flying apart on the apex and if it does than in the long run will be cheaper than replacing the plastic ones all the time.

there about 800 bucks for regular a arms and these prices are canadian remember i hope to change all mine over

155.00 and 193.00 Per side Retail So 700.00 reatail which would end up costing you froma good dealer
about 450.00

You can get a Wide front end kit from Pioneer for 499.00

I have been doing alot of research on carbon fiber for using it for a jackshaft and it appears that carbon fiber has excellent torsional strength (2-3 times stronger then steel) and it also has a great tensile strength. However it has a very low yeild strength. This means if you had these arms and you came along and hit a little stump or something, it would shatter extremely easily. These would not last, they are using the wrong material for this application. For a jackshaft or driveshaft though, Carbon fiber is perfect!

Carbon fiber is the ticket for NON IMPACT applications, but as stated above these would fly apart if impacted. I used to run outlaw DIRT modifieds and we ran some carbon fiber wheels. The track ended up outlawing them as they exploded (quite literally) when impacted. And they don't break clean either, they kinda splinter into shards like glass. I wouldn't run them as a-arms on a sled. On a show car maybe, but not a sled.

Just remember, carbontech is not a paid advertisor on Totallyamaha.

But I never knew someone would go all out to make bogie wheels. Thanks for posting this as I like carbon fiber, but like everyone is saying, not on sleds.
